    Rear brakes uneven wear

Hi Paul I had the same with my car a few years back. The saloon on the 8th gen has the same rear brake setup as the 7th gen tourer. A recon caliper from ECP and new brake lines sorted out the problem. The piston on the affected caliper was very tight to push back in hence it was shot

Cheers bud. I’m so reluctant to sell for a newer car as Honda has nothing to compare to the Accord. Unless I win the lottery and a new NSX wil be on the drive. I’m waiting for next year as the Honda CRV are bringing out a petrol hybrid. As for the sunroof only EX models have them. I’m sure the...

Poor MPG on my 09 Auto Accord

Check for scorching on your rear pads and disks. I drove an Auto a few years back for a courtesy car and from memory I was getting around 35mpg around town and 45 on the motorway. I would have thought 0-30 oil for your car but believe Honda are now using 0-20 across the range.

    Recommend a obd2 reader

I use dash command with my iPhone and works perfect for clearing faults. You need a WiFi interface unit that plugs into your obd2 port to link up. Brought mine off eBay for about £10

    Tapping

Petrol 7gens should be checked every 25k for valve clearance. On the 8th gen every 50k Just had mine checked and adjusted and 6 needed adjustment and the engine is a lot quieter.

There was a thread Hear with very similar symptoms and it was the back up battery on the alarm system. This is a separate battery in case the main car battery fails.

    Sat Nav disc

It looks like a genuine disk but I would expect it to come with a proper case and cover. At this price I would say it's a fake.

    2012 Tourer S type

Brian mine also had BC in the vin so was made in Japan. I can't believe Honda would make an EX without nav and rear camera but I could be wrong.

    VTC Actuator Problem?

Iv had this from day 1 on my 8th gen. I'm with Jon with the starter motor over running and not disengage. If you let the key go as soon as the car fires up you don't get the noise.

    front discs & pads

Give a honda dealer a call with your reg and they will send out the correct brake items for your car. OEM brakes are the best by a long way IMO and are not much more expensive than after market.

    recommended mods for my 2.4

Forgot EBC in my experience there a wast of time and poor quality. Get ATR calipers or even better 8th gen twin pot calipers found on the type S diesel and 2.4 You can stop on a 2 pence on stock disks and pads.
