I recently replaced the speakers at the front of the car which was fairly straight forward thanks to the "how to" guides on here. My problem however is that the one on the front near side seemed to cut out. Off came the door card and sure enough, one of the wires going into the speaker had come...

I need mine done but not sure if I should do it myself. Would you recommend a DIY attempt?

I'm looking to take the silver plasctic strips off the door card but want to be able to re-attach them afterwards. Does anyone know how I take those star shaped retaining things off the back and where would I be able to get more?

Ok, after changing my discs and pads last week I had a few request for pics. Unfortunatley I didn't take any pics at the time but I thought I would take the drivers side brake apart today as I had a spare two hours and take some pics as I went along. I didn't keep the old discs and pads so no...

Could anyone tell me how hard it is to change ball joints? Is it something I can do with the car on axle stands? If so what tools do I need? Cheers.

Will do, just need some decent weather. I've been out for a drive now and still getting a noise from the nearside, a deep sort of noise that goes with the rotation of the wheels and on the offside, a knocking noise every now and then which maybe a balljoint?

I didn't get any pics at the time but now I know how to take them apart I want to paint the calipers. I'm more than happy to take it apart again though and get pics and post them up.
