John, have you had the half shaft (between gearbox and outer shaft) our support bearing changed? As I said above, after changing the drivers side entire shaft it almost sorted it. But it was a second hand part so there may have been some wear in it.

I think if you remove the cover you'll see 4 screws holding the actual foglight in place. At least thats how it is on the diesel. I did try to remove my cover a while ago but the screw was that stiff it didn't work.

Matt, the best thing to do at the moment is call into a dealer and have them check for the rattle. My car had only 60k when it was diagnosed (poor servicing by previous owner).

If you lower your back seats you'll be able to see where it clips over the lip. Just remove the clips (think theres 2) and it should come out.
