    Power Steering Fluid

Should the level be checked hot or cold or doesn't it matter? I don't think it should make a difference as it doesn't heat up. But the level seems to have risen abit now and is just under the upper level. I've been checking it on level ground so the only thing I can think of is there's air in...

    2007 2.0L Tourer A/C condenser change

Yep that's what I did when I changed mine too.

    Power Steering Fluid

Well I emptied the reservoir the day before we went away and topped it up with fresh fluid. It doesn't take much to fill it, probably around 300ml so the difference between the lower and upper marks is fairly small. I filled it up to the upper mark and we went away the next day, covering around...

    Power Steering Fluid

The car is on 112k miles now so I think some fresh fluid would be good for it :) I've not experienced any steering issues but all the other fluids get changed so why shouldn't this :) I ordered 2 x 1L bottles last night from HH on ebay, with the 20% off they were doing so just over £11 a...

    Power Steering Fluid

I was checking the oil the other day and noticed that the PAS fluid is on the minimum mark. I've had the car coming up for 2.5 years now but I'm fairly sure it's dropped. It was no where near maximum when I bought it but it's definitely gone down. Is this normal for it to use it or could I have...

Poor Fuel Consumption on 2.4 Auto

I believe the recommended grade is 5w30, that's what I've used for the last 2 years. You could try changing it and see if that helps. Have the plugs been changed?

Poor Fuel Consumption on 2.4 Auto

My worse mpg has been 20.2 with all town driving. The best I've had is 29.7, which was alot of motorway and A roads. These cars will never return good mpg but yours does sound bad so something could be up. Have you used the right grade oil and checked tyre pressures?

    Rear brake/handbrake issues continue!

It's got new calipers, hoses, slider pins and fresh fluid so none of those. Smell was there with the old pads too so not those neither. Discs are fine, just a little rust ring, they're above minimum thickness and it's passed the MOT. It's not a brake binding smell, I know what that smells like...

    Rear Parking sensor

There is a reversing kit on my car and it looks factory fit, however a service sheet in the history from Honda say it's an aftermarket kit. It doesn't actually work though and I'd like to get it sorted but where is the box and alarm usually wired to/positioned?

    Rear brake/handbrake issues continue!

It's a stupid setup on the tourer, had it before on my Corolla and it's so frustrating trying to set them correctly. The car passed the MOT and the handbrake is holding but I'm still getting a warm smell now and again but I've done all I can now. I'll just keep an eye on it and see if it gets...

Automatic Gearbox reset after ATF change - how ?

I didn't do this when I changed mine and pretty sure there is no mention of it in the Honda workshop manual.

    Rear brake/handbrake issues continue!

How hot do your disc hubs get? I've adjusted the handbrake shoes and I still get a little rubbing but if I slacken them any more the handbrake doesn't work very well. It holds on a very steep hill at 8 clicks. After a run the hubs are fairly warm, I wouldn't say hot as I can hold my finger on...

Rear ARB Bushes and Drop Links

I did the usual first of knocking the link off and using mole grips on the ball part and undoing the nut. When it wouldn't turn anymore I cut through using a hacksaw. I did think about getting the dremel out but with the flexi hose and ABS sensor cable close by I didn't want to risk chopping...

    Rear brake/handbrake issues continue!

I got around to looking at this yesterday. I took the car out for a 20 minute drive to get the brakes hot, parked on the drive and jacked it up. By the time I had got the wheel off the smell had gone! I could find no sign of it on the disc, pads or caliper! I started looking around the disc and...

Rear ARB Bushes and Drop Links

I fitted my drop links and ARB bushes yesterday. Apart from the usual of having to cut the links off it went well. I've not taken it for a drive yet but hopefully it's cured the knocking, it's rock solid now and no more movement in the bar.

    Boot liners.

I got one of these - http://www.carmats4u.com/tailored-boot-liners/honda-boot-liners/honda-accord-boot-liners/honda-accord-estate-2003-2008-boot-liner-mat-tray.html Then I bought a large rubber boot mat from Costco for about £8 to go in the centre of it to stop stuff sliding around.

    Rear brake/handbrake issues continue!

Cheers, I'll try that way and see if it works. I tend to remove the calipers as well just to make sure the pads aren't causing any rubbing noises. Another problem I've had is I'll adjust the shoes until the rubbing stops, apply the handbrake lever and when I release it the rubbing is back! That...

Rear ARB Bushes and Drop Links

I won't get genuine links but the Meyle ones, they're £30. The bushes are around the same price if you get genuine or pattern ones so might as well get the former.

Rear ARB Bushes and Drop Links

For £30 I might as well change the links now. I sent HH an email but had no reply yet, I'll have to phone them when I get a minute.

    Rear brake/handbrake issues continue!

Do any of you slacken the cable off at the handbrake lever first? I think it was on 7-8 clicks before but is now higher! I'll have to reset the adjusters on both sides to zero clicks I think and then do them equal. On a hill when applying the handbrake now the car lurches slightly to the side.
