    Are my headlights too high?

Thanks for the replies. I have found the video on how to adjust them but how would I know where to set them or is this really a garage job? How can I test these, I tried putting weight in the boot and standing in it but I couldn't tell if the lights were moving or not, should it be noticeable...

    Are my headlights too high?

I have the HIDs on my car and while I love them it seems other drivers don't! I am always getting flashed by cars coming in the opposite direction, especially down roads with no street lighting. If I drive down country lanes most of the time I don't even need my full beam on, they light up...

    Genuine Honda driveshaft

Did you change the CV joints as well or just the driveshaft? I've always thought it was the inner CV joint that caused the vibrating.

Spare wheel - what will fit?

Well I bought the space saver above but it seems I should've got a 135/80/16 one. A new tyre in that size is £80, are they having a laugh!! Although the rolling radius is different I've been told for emergency use (which is what it should be used for anyway) it'll be fine. How many times do you...

Tourer handbrake issue - pads rubbing

I'm referring to the shoe adjuster, I've backed it off so it's not dragging as much. After looking at the parts diagram there are a couple of big bends in that cable so it might be getting restricted and not releasing the shoes.

I bought my Meyle ones from there, good company and great drop links :)

Tourer handbrake issue - pads rubbing

The O/S disc is abit hotter than the other side and sometimes I get that funny smell when brakes are binding. It's not the caliper or pads, I've stripped and cleaned those twice, including the slider pins, plus these parts don't smell. The inside of the brake disc does smell, which indicates the...

    Not happy with the brakes

I finally got around to stripping the front brakes today after buying a 7mm hex socket. The discs looked pretty rusty with the inside face having a ring of rust which the pad makes contact with. I measured the brake thickness with a ruler so not accurate but it was 23mm minus a fraction to...

Tourer rear caliper bind - How can you tell?

Just to add to this it might be the handbrake shoes dragging on the inside of the disc, which acts as a drum. I had to adjust mine earlier as it was catching slightly on one side and causing a slight smell.

    Front suspension works

Good stuff mate, what did you use to press the new bush in? I have to replace one on mine soon but don't have a press, although I'm thinking of getting one.

Spare wheel - what will fit?

Can anyone tell me what size their space saver is, will 125/70/16 be ok?

Meshing lower part of front bumper

Yours is more visible though Wozza, for that purpose I would've used metal mesh as well :) I think this gutter guard should be fine for stones, hopefully they won't split it but it'll definitely keep the wet leaves and feathers away.

    Diagnosing Aircon Problems

Cool, my main concern is where to put the wire - if it was put in the wrong hole could you damage anything?

Meshing lower part of front bumper

As I was only doing this to protect the condenser rather than styling I opted for some gutter guard - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Blackspur-BB-GM100-Gutter-Mesh/dp/B005EXIMPI/ref=pd_sim_lp_21?ie=UTF8&refRID=1XEJXKB2F5QNT3Z658Z4 It's obviously not as strong as metal but I doubled it up and attached...

2.0 or 2.4 for short trips?

How have you calculated that? 280 miles on a full tank (lets say you fill with 60L) works out at around 21mpg. This is roughly what I get on my 2.4 auto with just town driving, I get around 260 miles. If I drive like a granny and do nothing but motorway miles I'll get 360 miles, which is just...

    Diagnosing Aircon Problems

Well I ordered the relay on ebay, should be here in a day or 2 and I'll open the old one up. Could these checks be done on the Honda Civic as well, in the same way? I am replacing the condenser on ours but want to check the compressor clunks before calling someone out to find it doesn't work!
