My thoughts after 2 months of ownership. A few questions too.

it was definitely over 500quid, and they bust a drivers side wheel sensor in the process. They had the car the guts of a week also. 700 seems a tad on the low side IF it includes a flywheel!

I second that, the clutch I had put on my K24 a few years back was 600ish i think and the garage had it ages and totally underestimated the work involved IMO.

Recommended rear brake disc+ pad set for 04 diesel tourer ?

I got yellow stuff pads and MTEC discs, I just went out for a spin now to bed these in and unbelievable stopping power. Bedding in new discs/pads is important, else you can get warped discs. There are good articles out there how to get this done properly.

yeah, the seats are great. The cool is very nice feature in the summer. Another good touch is the memory seats, they can move into a memory position when you open the car.

yep, all round. not cheap mind you, inc fitting total cost of 4 discs and front and rear pads about £540. The mechanic who fitted them said they are phenomenal brakes... (his words, not mine..!). Will take a while for them to bed in properly.

I got new lock nuts, that body shop said it wasn't them at all, ridiculous. I had them to get my centre caps done also so I was not done with them so didn't want to kick up too much a fuss but not keen on going back there in a rush. I got MTEC discs and yellowstuff pads to put on. Should...

    Engine light on.

just had a read here, surprised to see a k24 have these issues, I would hazard a guess it has not had a very loving service record? usually these engines keep going on as long as they have the routine services over time.

guys guys, take a relax pill that is not a 'regular' car park, just an obscure one I found out behind apartment blocks near where I live. (almost always empty) I can park very well when I do need to use public spots, the parking sensors, rear camera and parallel park mode are there If i want...

Easiest way to change keyfob battery (without breaking retaining screw)

I don' think Brian even took apart his key fob. If he did I am sure he would have posted up some scientific engineering marvel about the whole process, down to and including the ratio of cyanoacrylate to achieve the polymerization process.
