    Buying advice for a 2.2 CDTI 2004-2006 model, £2000

I bought one for 2k over 2 years ago so it was really cheap at the time. It was sold as spares or repairs because the clutch was slipping and the chain was a bit noisy. I took it on holiday to the south of France and it didn't let me down. The clutch fixed itself, the chain got noisier, the...

A couple of questions about faults

If you take the doorcard off then the bottom rail can be removed from the glass and you can then see if it will move when the switch is pressed.

Accord 2007 left rear wheel alignment problem

If it is getting worse then hopefully you will soon find the fault. I would have hoped that the garage doing the alignment would have spotted any worn bushes.

Upgrading the Accord iCDTi ICE. Many Questions (& hopefully Answers too!)

It is front only but you can switch between drivers side only or both front speakers. Normal audio comes through the other speakers but sounds a lot quieter while instructions come through the front ones.

    Door handle N/S front issues,

I can't remember if this happened on my old Accord or a previous car but I think it just needed a bit of lube on the outer handle. Quite easy to get the door card off and have a look if you need to.

How low have you ran your tank?

My car was fitted with a tuning box when I bought it that was supposed to improve economy. It definitely did improve power and threw out the computer mpg figures a bit but I think it might also have improved mpg too. I also have another one that was fitted to my previous Accord when I bought it...

Yes the problem with the satnav is the dvd drive sits in that space reducing it to probably a single din.

How low have you ran your tank?

Yes it's the car showing 0 miles range or empty when there is actually about 10L left in the tank that made me start this thread. I am regularly travelling between Durham and Norwich at the minute so about 50% motorway and 50% single carriageway with a 60mph limit. Doing 50-60mph helps the mpg...

How low have you ran your tank?

I'm currently doing a the same long journey twice a week with running around in between so plenty of time for me to see what affects the mpg. Can I ask is your car standard and what kind of speeds are you generally doing? Hope your wife is better soon.

    Petrol mpg

Only problems with LPG is that you lose some boot space and some of the poor fitters/conversions give it a bad name. You also need to be aware that they usually start on petrol especially from cold so you still need to keep adding petrol to your calculations too

    So Many Tyre Options...

Plenty of choice from my-tyres, blackcircles, camskill, etc I would stick with standard sizes but go for extra load (xl) rated ones if you are worried about soft sidewalls
