Is this is a Fuel Filter fault?

I would probably try a new fuel filter first for what it costs, but also try not to drive it hard when the engine is cold.

Can you disable the ABS light by removing a fuse or something?

The rear wheel sensors can corrode in the housing. I would use a multimeter on resistance and spin the wheel to see if it changes. If that confirms the sensor is dead, replace it then repeat the test. Then see what the abs module says after that. I would be tempted to look for dry/failing solder...

Gearing issue 2.2 diesel 56 regarding face lift exec

It might still be worth checking your gearbox oil level or change it anyway for the correct MTF as it can make a massive difference and is relatively cheap and easy to do

Is it safe to drive around without a resonator chamber?

I wouldn't worry about it, it should be fine. Are you claiming off the insurance of the person that drove into you? If not I would just get a replacement resonator or complete airbox from a breaker or from eBay

The manual takes 2.2L so you will be fine. It only took me about half an hour to do on my drive so it shouldn't take a garage very long.

I'll try to remember to check which model mine is but it only cost around £10 and that was a couple of years ago. I know Torque does recommend checking a couple of settings if you are having problems. Mine has an orange and blue sticker if that helps

    Feels like driving on ice

What tyres are fitted? If the car is fairly new to you and it has had some cheap tyres fitted to sell it they can be pretty bad at this time of year. I have recently fitted winter tyres to mine and they give me loads more confidence in the car at this time of year.
