    Front Drop Links

I have ECP ones on mine and seem fine so far, but I also don't think the originals are as bad as everyone seems to think. Their construction might not appear the best but mine lasted 140k before they needed changing and I remember changing very similar looking ones on my brothers 6th gen when...

    Aircon Condenser Replacement

I've got a new condenser to fit to my diesel tourer. What else do I need to remove first to get to it?

    Just converted to lpg

350 does sound very expensive and the manifold would have come off more for fitting the injectors than it ever would need to for fitting the flashlube. There is an LPG forum if you Google it and some good installers on there that will give you good advice

Soft brakes after replacing front pads only

Did your front disks have much of a lip of rust on the outside edge? If they did and you didn't clean it off the pads could be contacting this first instead of the full face of the disk

    Just converted to lpg

LPG is a dry fuel and also burns a bit hotter than petrol. Over time cars can suffer from valve seat recession due to the lack of lubrication from the fuel which is why people fit flashlube or similar. Some cars are more prone than others depending on how hard the valve seats are from the...

DIY - Brake discs and pads change 03+ (updated)

Eurocarparts sell them. Look for ones that say CN2 in the description as that is the estate

    Heating system

I'm guessing you both have a flap that is stuck or not moving fully and so is allowing warm air still to come through. No idea how much of the dash you would have to dismantle to find it though

    Anti theft system

Removing the stereo or cutting the wiring to it would trigger the car alarm if set, but that is all the security that is in the stereo, no codes needed

    strange noise from front suspension

If wd40 made it go quiet before, try it again but only do one or two bushes at a time so you can narrow down which one it is

    Eco mania

The 5 speed is really long geared so the difference between 5th in that and 6th in the facelift probably isn't much. I have owned both but my pre facelift wasn't in the best of health so not really a fair comparison. If I was buying again I would definitely go for a facelift its s much better...

    Eco mania

I do a similar journey each week for work from Durham to Norwich although mine might have a few more A roads stuck behind tractors. My overall average each week is just over 50mpg but its the local running around each week that hurts my mpg. Sitting at 50-60mph if you can stand the boredom will...

Clearing blue dots on sat nav

Nope doesn't happen on my facelift. Something must have been selected in the menus.

    Replacement Wiring Loom Multiplugs

I'm not sure but Maplins possibly sell the plug you are after.

Where is your sat nav location

Should be at the bottom of the centre console behind a flap that pulls down.

    Not happy with the brakes

I have to say the brakes on mine are fine.

    BLUETOOTH

When pairing you should tell the car what security code you want to use then enter it in your phone when it tries to pair with your car.

Swap pss for pss + sat nav

Not sure about the wiring but no codes so it would be straight forward to give it a go

AC temperature information on main display? Dual zone CC

If you search for the guide on here for fitting xcarlink there are full pics of taking the dash apart but the top does come off easy once you know what to do. It just locates on about 4 lugs

    suspension clunk cdti

That second compliance bush looks knackered. To test the drop links just grab hold of them and give them a good shake with your hand. If you can feel any play or slight knock as you move them then they need changing as that slight knock is amplified once on the road.

AC temperature information on main display? Dual zone CC

The top panel pops up over complete with the vents but insert your burger flipper between the left and right hand sides. The dash next to it is quite soft but pops back in to shape.
