50 mpg is easy to get on a run. If you take a little care you'll get higher.

Maps and mpg question when moving from MK7

Lol. I got them when traveling from my house in Dudley to the Trafford Centre in Manchester. I reset the clock as I set off and took a pic on the car park. I was doing 70 on the way down and got 63. On the way back it was raining and I was doing 80 so it dropped to 58. The 155 mile trips to...

Maps and mpg question when moving from MK7

I got 55-63 mpg in my 8th gen on a decent run. If you search the forum you should find a pic of my speedo. Apparrantly the facelift 8th gen is meant to be more refined if your budget goes that far.

    Hot seats

I can't answer your question but if your worried about hot seats just get an ex gt with half leather. I found them more comfortable than the full leather ones in the crv and less slippy when going round bends.

    Mugen wind deflectors

If you're heiko ones are rattling check the fitting. I had to reapply some double sideded sticky tape and re postion the clip. That stoped the rattling but I'm sure the wind noise increased when I first fitted them. I'd like some more for my new car but I don't want extra wind noise so may go...

    iDTEC

I found castrol edge ***anium 0w30 really good. The engine seemed a lot quiter when the garage handed me the car back. The biggest differences for refinement I found came from the tyres. Goodyear eff grip performance. The car was so much smoother on the rough roads.

    eibach pro kit fitted today

As all the weight is on the front shocks wouldn't it of been better to put the konis there and the standard ones in the rear ?

    DPF delete and MOT pass

I thoroughly recommend removing the DPF. Mine passed 3 mot's and drove really nice.

Where is best place to buy a new alloy wheel? (Must match others)

Thats a shame. I sold my alloy with a tyre for £80 on type accord a few weeks back. Ebay has load's for 100 with no tyre. Good luck though.

    Resetting your service reminder

The order of the rest codes are in the handbook. If your not following the service reminder and doing it every 12 months instead. you can get it switched off.

    2.4 MPG

I agree that a diesel shouldn't even be considered for that sort of journey. A 2.4 is a no brainer.

    2.4 MPG

I was warmer in my diesel accord than my petrol crv but I think that's because the half leather seats radiate the heat better

    2.4 MPG

I did 8k a year the one year and my car was fine but that was down to the type of journey. The engine was nice and toasty after 10 mins. I then had another 25 mins of constant 60mph which kept my DPF clean. If you've any doubts though go petrol.

    2.4 MPG

The money you save with diesel will cover the costs if anything goes wrong with it. Use a fuel calc to work it out to see how much you'd save. If I was on the motorway for more than the 2 junctions I currently am, I'd get a diesel again. I only went petrol as the auto diesel was meant to be...

Front parking sensors random / intermittent

There's been loads of people with parking sensor issues on the 8th gen. It's quite common to be honest. I'm sure someone on here removed them and removed the silicone in the back of the sensor. Cleaned it and re sealed it and it sorted the problem. The control box for the sensors can be reset...
