The diesel fogs are smaller and on the one side have slots in the surround to allow air flow to the intercooler. That's the only reasoning I can place on them being different.

Cheers Marcus, that's useful insight. I've always run my tyres about 36PSI, mainly for fuel saving. I'll probably raise the car up a touch soon, get new tyres and alignment/geometry/corner balancing done. Get it all setup and then leave it for a while.
