Yeah I'm not sure why they don't have one, as my '92 Prelude does... You'd think that features like that wouldn't be phased out on newer cars. Seatbelt warnings are annoying anyway though, I hate modern cars that beep at you for taking your belt off to park
None of my cars really hold enough monetary value to really warrant selling them when you consider what they are like to drive and enjoy :( so I just keep them when I buy new cars
Can you not keep the V6 as a second car? I have my cars on admiral multicar and it's really reasonable :)
You can buy a Prelude with similar mileage and all of about about 17PS less power for roughly £800-1000  I do like an ATR though, but the prices put me off :(
Simorf and Saj have are spot on - to eliminate the ball joints you've got to check for movement in the wheel by giving it a good tug and trying to 'twist' the face. I had a dodgy ball joint on my BB4 Prelude - the boot was fine but if you grabbed the wheel at the top you could pull it in and...
IMHO I'd just go for the cheap £25 ebay induction kit jobbies, and buy a decent cone filter to go on the end. I don't think there's any more to be gained out of the 2.3 engine from going with a more expensive induction kit. I had an ebay short ram pipe and it it sounded mega, and made the...
I have 2 solutions for seatbelts that don't retract - one is not at all safe or legal so I won't bother mentioning it  the other is get a clean cloth and some warm soapy water, pull the belt all the way out and give it a clean. Then use some IPA or similar and clean the metal surfaces in...
Silver, black or gold will all look ok on a green car IMO. I usually do mine red though, as red means stop
*edit
You can't do much worse than my Prelude, I couldn't be bothered to paint the caliper I bought for it to match the carrier
Looks lovely mate! The 4g Aerodecks are mega cool :)
I'm down South too btw! If it ever does come up for sale I may be interested depending on space, I've got a few old Honda's lurking around already
I always park in gear because
a) it's safe!
And
b ) when I first started driving I shared a car with my Dad - he would give me a b*llocking if I didn't leave the car in gear, as that's how he expected it to be when he started it
I've got my girlfriend doing the same, and...
The steering on my 4th gen Prelude feels the best out of all the power steering equipped cars I own. It feels solid at speed and you get a lot of feedback from the road which is great. I never lose confidence when cornering in that car :)
The best steering feel out of all the cars I own/have...
Cheers guys!! :)
Good news! The Accord passed its MOT re-rest today, so all my work was not in vain. It's only been a couple of weeks but god have I missed this car!! I'm so glad to be in something quick again, I wasn't enjoying the 1.2l Clio I was borrowing!
Update time:
I bought a brake bleeding kit as it was only a fiver, and bled the brakes again Wednesday evening. They're nice and firm now :) Thursday morning I dropped the car down the body shop and it was welded up the same day, my phone was having a fit though so I didn't find out until...
Sorry for another off topic post, but BlueVTEC which gearbox can you use to convert the V6 to a manual?? I'd love a V6 motor in one of my cars but I don't fancy the auto box. I haven't really looked into the J series but I didn't know there was a compatible manual box
You don't know fuel sediment woes until you've owned a mk2 Scirocco  fwiw I run all my cars to almost empty and never had any drama bar the Scirocco, and my 6th gen was on 112K iirc.
As for how far can you go once the light is on... Well that's going to depend on how hard you're driving...
My new hoses turned up today :) I love it when I get shiny car parts in the post!
So I braved the weather and got them fitted this eve. Excuse the dirty arches
My first 'performance' mod on the Accord  if you can call it that :P
I bled the brakes with Laura but it's apparent that...
Right, time for another little update...
My Accord failed it's MOT last Monday :( See below for the complete list
Bit annoyed about the fail on the rear licence plate bulbs, as they were working when I got home
Fair shout on the CV boot (which was torn all the way round) and the...
Hi mate,
I'm afraid I can't help you on the 'what do honda use as standard' front, but I've always drained out old coolant and replaced it with the red long life stuff whenever I do a service on one of my cars. I'll probably get shot for saying this, but as long as you flush the coolant system...
