Finally got the fuel filter off - they had fitted a Bosch fuel filter. Using an impact by the feel of it - required a scaffy bar to be removed. Bosch filter has a totally different design to the genuine article. Lesson learned there, I'll only ever be going to the mechanic I know. Jerking...

I get exactly the same with my 2008 ICDTI EX with Sat/nav - I've not gotten around to checking the BT module, I started with the mic first - as the nav diag doesn't register any input from the microphone. Curious to see if this is just due to the BT module!
