    AUX Not Working

I've just spent 3/4 of an hour trying to get BBC Radio iPlayer (on my phone) to work for the first time in the car. 3 different cables, two different sources. Nothing :( And then I remembered someone on TA had AUX issues once.... Volume set at zero = zero volume. Thanks @Sturgi for sharing!

    Advice buying my new cdti

http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/24349-advice-needed-please/?p=252891 How old is the car? I'd expect it to be a very late (or very, very good) 7th Gen for that money.

    Advice needed please

I'm pretty sure the facelift had a revised chain ***embly which was less prone to problems, if you can afford to wait for a slightly younger car ('06 or possibly '55 -look for the 6 speed box on the revised car). I don't think there have been many instances reported on here of chains actually...

    wobbly steering under load

I had a pronounced wobble under acceleration at about 38mph. With hands off the steering wheel the wheel moved probably +/- 10 degrees. It looked really bad, but the slightest touch of the hand stopped it. I figured it it was anything serious I'd have continued to feel it through the wheel, or...

    Earthing Point for Dash Cam

I think the OP is describing the DC-DC converter. Perhaps it also contains a fuse?

    How to work the Bluetooth?

I can never remember. The good news is once paired it rarely forgets. There's a lot of handbook pages on it (I don't know if a PDF version exists anywhere -it would certainly be useful!), but here's somewhere to start: The car must be stationary! Set your phone to discovery mode Press the HFT...

    Earthing Point for Dash Cam

***uming that bolt is into metal it ought to work. If you have one, a multimeter will tell you. If it's into another piece of plastic it won't. You might need to find an alternative earth in that case, or drill the body and fit a self tapper in some hidden spot (may sure of what is on the other...

    Factory security

You'd got me wondering... I don't think I've ever heard mine go off so I just tried it now: The indicators all flash and a siren wails. Nothing from the horn.

please need help, fuel filter 2.2 i-dtec

I believe the small o-ring you refer to (as stated in my DIY) is for the drain plug on the bottom of the housing. I've never used it, nor have I replaced the (larger) fuel pipe union o-ring. Next time will be my fourth filter replacement -perhaps I'll remember to order one then. As for your...

    Brake Calliper - Rear

When I did my 7th Gen rear brakes lots of TA advice said replace the flexi hoses too, as it was thought they could be responsible for sticking problems. Not knowing any better, I did as recommended -not least as I didn't want to revisit the overheating rear brake problem without having first...
