You don't need any special tools. I made my own pressure bleeder and used it successfully on both my 7th and 8th Gens. http://jmp.sh/A8eecUK With a willing ***istant to pump the pedal at your command you could do it with nothing more than a spanner.

Aren't the blue and brown two different sizes of bulb? One slightly brighter than the other? Or are they different colours? Can't quite remember. One is for the 'heater on' and the other to illuminate the switch for sidelights. I've a feeling I've used the same replacement bulb in both as the...

Do a search for xcarlink. It'll point you to a guide (on another site) for fitting that particular unit box, which involves removing the stereo. From memory it just pulls off. If it's never been off, you pull so hard you think it'll break, then it comes off. Or breaks. Anyhow, do the search...

Can't help with the upgrade question, but I imagine it'll cost you more than £30 to pull it off. With Parcel2Go.com you can send a 50x50x25cm (just a guess) package weighing 19Kg for less than a tenner with various drop off or pickup options.

Do it which ever way you can -the main thing is you got your bulbs changed. I've got average sized hands, but no longer have the car so I can't take any new pictures. The ones I have on file suggest it was the same as yours...

I had a 7th Gen diesel when I wrote this DIY. I've changed both sides several times, and never had to resort to removing the bumper, battery or head lights. My 8th Gen diesel on the other hand is a different story...
