    Buying a used diesel Accord

I'm a bit retentive about my spreadsheet of fuel receipts  Since March '15 I've added 2857 litres (629 gallons) of fuel and covered 34000 miles. The trip computer usually swings about a bit, but I've just checked and currently says 53.8. I try to drive economically, using cruise where I...

    Buying a used diesel Accord

I've got an ES-GT the pedals are not slippy at all. The pedals have rubber bumps on (they're not holes). I have a 8 and 5 year old in the back (in child seats) and space isn't an issue for me. Dash is ENTIRELY normal! Just 2 clocks and a small info screen. Not hard to read / use at all...

I'm with you. I intend to keep mine for the same reason. That said, if / when the time comes Premier Tuning isn't far from here...

2011 Accord 2.2 diesel este "intake shutter valve"

A bit clutching at straws this, but I thought I'd pass it on... Googling the Honda part number gives an eBay link to a foreign (ended) auction for a part who also uses the numbers rml46603 and nas09052 in the description. Putting the latter back into eBay gives a listing for a 'throttle body'...

2011 Accord 2.2 diesel este "intake shutter valve"

It doesn't really, help but I think you're after a 16800RL0G01(Honda part no). Slightly depressed to learn there's ANOTHER £1200 part I might need one day. Why is everything £1200 quid?

£110 for garage oil change. Eye-watering?

if you've room to store it between services, get a tub of 0W30 from http://www.lubetechshop.co.uk/ and get a mechanic you trust to do the work for you. An oil change by itself is a lot less than an hour.

Roof bars for Tourer without rails

I've had a set of Thule bars for close on 15 years. Bars are original, swapped foot packs with each change of car (luckily all the cars have been a similar width) selling the old ones on eBay to defray the cost.

Diesel Filter Change Rounded Stuck bolt

Have you tried a ring spanner? It would make use of all the remaining head not just two opposing damaged flats. If you can get pliers in, might you be able to use mole grips? A blow lamp probably wouldn't be wise, but might the heat from half a kettle full of carefully poured water help? And /...

    Wiper blade replacement.

As I've not got a Holdcroft order pending, I've given the Denso Hybrids a go on my 8th Gen. Genuine Honda seem to last 12 months (handy for service replacement at the dealer?) so I'll see how these wear.... Ta for the tip off.

Heated Seat Base and Tyres - Query & Options

I'm 28,000 miles into a set of four of those Goodyears. Paid about what you've quoted and I've not a bad word to say about them. This is still my first set of new tyres since I replaced the mix & match (and bald) the car came with, so I've nothing to compare them against. There's a good bit of...

    Xcarlink Install

I think the whole thing has to come forward on the nav model. The non-nav version (what I had) is more accessible. I used mine via USB memory sick rather than SD card, but I imagine it's the same. You don't need any software. Just put folders on your SD card. It's a while since I had mine, so...

    Fitting Fog Light ***embly

With the bumper off it would be straight forward: http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/20809-8th-gen-diy-front-bumper-and-headlight-removal-alignment/ You might be able to replace a bulb with the bumper on, but I doubt you'd be able to remove the entire lamp ***embly. Hopefully someone will be...

    Mystery Lump?

On an aircraft or or an F1 car maybe. But surely not on my Accord!? I wouldn't have guessed that in a hundred years! Thanks fellas, that's really quite interesting. I'm glad I asked :-)
