    Price up a new barrel had it on a Vauxhall years ago and it wasn't that expensive also you then don't need to go changing all the locks on the car and messing about with ecu's and coding keys etc.

    I'm not 100% clued up on the 6th gen but the alarm will flash the indicators and probably have its own relay for this, in my opinion i'd still try a flasher relay.

    Whoaaaa! I wasn't playing dealers off against each other I ordered my service parts from HH cos they were cheaper than my local dealers. When I was getting my a/c done I was in parts and talking to the parts manager about general stuff he said he'd sell me service bits at the prices HH had sold...

    Smashed back light and scuffed the corner of the bumper the golf she hit needed a new door! All done now apart from getting my bumper painted which can wait cost £130 so far with a 2nd hand light for mine and a door in the right colour fitted to the golf.

    Holdcroft quoted me £8.99 for filter and £0.42 for washer, my local dealer is going to price match them. Also look on ebay, lots of dealers sell parts cheaper on there...

    I'd go to the scrap yards for them alot cheaper than buying new, I dont know how they fit on but I'd ***ume that as there are clip on covers on the end pieces that they will screw/bolt into the roof from the outside.

    It'll be an expensive job at a dealers thats for sure. It till only be held in by 2 bolts, 1 at the top where the height adjuster is and 1 at the bottom where it reels up. A simple job to change.

    After I changed my fuel filter my dash lit up like a christmas tree I checked everything and it still did it. I ended up going for a drive down the bypass and gave it a bootfull when I got home turned it off and started it back up and all warning lights had gone out and its been fine since.

    Used to love Airwolf, Knightrider and Streethawk good SKY seems to repeat them every so often.
