    headlights

Sounds like your headlight alignment is off and you're blinding oncoming drivers. As said you can adjust this yourself, but you might as well take it to your local mechanic to get the job done properly so you know it's right and for the comfort of other road users, it should only be a 5 minute job.

    Seatbelt warning Bong-Bong-Bong-Bong-Bong

You misunderstand, disconnecting this 'seatbelt safety device' does not affect any other safety system on the car. It is a stand alone device and is separate to any other safety system on the car, which is why the airbag and SRS lights stay off. If either of the airbag or SRS system was to...

    Seatbelt warning Bong-Bong-Bong-Bong-Bong

As stated I put the key in the ignition to free up my hands to put the seatbelt on. Plus owning a diesel putting the keys in the ignition turns on the diesel pre heater giving it time for the coil light on the dashboard light to go out before I then start it. Admittedly in this weather the light...

    Seatbelt warning Bong-Bong-Bong-Bong-Bong

My Accord is the newest car I have owned and after purchasing it I was rather surprised (and annoyed) at the amount of warning beeps coming from the car before starting it. Old procedure was: Get in car. Put keys in ignition and turn ignition on. Bong- Bong- Bong- Bong- Bong and Seatbelt...

Locking the car whilst the engine us running

Its possible to lock the car with the engine running using the button on the drivers door. So I would ***ume that the central locking remote control is disabled as a safety feature while the keys are in the ignition.

srs light came on and engine died

Dan, I actually read that as he was playing with HIS car before he went for a drive ie tinkering around with it not molesting it. But i've re read it and you've just made it sound dirty!

srs light came on and engine died

The key question is, What were you 'playing' with before you went for a drive and all this happened?!

    Water in rear pass. footwell

I would expect the seal to stop most if not all of the water. Yours certainly doesn't sound like it is doing that. The seal could be worn or the sunroof may not be seated properly and need adjustment. It should be flush with the roof in all the corners.

    Water in rear pass. footwell

I've attached a diagram of the sunroof mechanism to show the drain channels on it. sunroof With that much water in the car I thought it should be easy to trace the leak by following the water marks left by it. But saying that that amount of water soaking the carpet could hinder initial...

    What engine oil to use?

Trade parts may be cheaper but you will end up doing the job twice, the 2nd time being properly with genuine parts, usually after you've posted questions asking why your engine doesn't run right and your EML light is coming on.

    battery rundown

I've noticed this too. I can drain the battery in the time it takes to wash and vacuum the car. I though it was just down to all the electrical equipment ie satnav, stereo screen, radio..... But from other threads this seems to be an issue raised predominantly by diesel owners! Would the glow...

    Water in my window

We all have to make sacrifices for our love of cars, yours is clearly dry trousers! Wait till it gets colder then the water will freeze and slide off in one lump. But the cheap, quick, and simple solution is as Brett said, or dab the brakes to cause the water to slide off then open the...

xcarlink intermittently working anyone have a perm solution?

I did exactly the same thing when I fitted my rear view camera and spent an hour looking for the same bolt. Mine was behind the carpet even though I couldn't feel it behind there. There is some hard plastic behind the carpet which shapes and supports it round the transmission tunnel. There is a...

    Knocking Tappet

I had a hydraulic lifter stick on a Vectra a couple of years ago. It had a blockage (tiny bit of dirt in the oil) so it couldn't raise pressure. It would always knock really loudly on start up (large valve clearance) till it slowly built up pressure, the noise appeared suddenly one morning...

    trim clips

Cheapest place would be fleabay. The colour may not be the same but they usually state the dimensions in the add so you can check if its the right size. Avoid buying them from Honda if you can as they will charge you a small fortune for them.

    5.9 litres?

5.9 litres of oil in a well drained engine should sit exactly half way between the min & max line on the dipstick.

    My little session today

Yeah, surprising how much still comes out the fuel filter when you change it even after its supposedly drained. :( All that fuel could have got my efficient diesel at least 100 miles, according to the on board computer anyway!

    My little session today

I had a diesel covered rag (from changing the fuel filter) that I used to clean the rocker cover with which did quite a nice job, then accidentally rubbed it against a plastic surface which suddenly looked quite clean and shiny and new (diesel is an oil after all) so got a little OCD and cleaned...

    Strange idling issue

If it was a spark plug issue I would expect a permanent misfire. Where as your ecu is searching for a balance (incorrect fuel/ air mix) which I would say is either a faulty sensor, blocked injector or as skhell stated a vacuum hose leak. I'd look for the simple things first ie vacuum hose...
