This is nearly always like Jon mentioned a fuel filter problem I used a aftermarket one on my ICTDI when became runaround and always getting it, when used as a taxi came on changed filter no issues nothing to worry about, if this does not cure like Fahad says change plugs

Ball joints or power steering fluid

This bloody car just had to have both front ball joints changed at a cost of £36 car only done 170k surely should last longer than that

There's no need to pay anywhere like that for clutch/DMF any decent indie will do for £700 but if I was you I'd pay the extra and goto HH they'd also let you know what the problem was ie master cylinder or clutch

What MPG was you getting before the tourer is a heavy beast and if you have a heavy foot you won't get much more than 40 on motorway
