I have a similar problem to yours, when I stick it into reverse it starts to beep like something is close but theres is nothing in sight! I have been told that this can be caused by a faulty connection or sensor and you could possibly fix this by going through to see which is the problem and fix it.

Yea thats what I do as well, sixth gear is great just stick it in there and hover around the 70mph mark and you stay under the 2000 rpm. I also like to follow other cars take a small advantage from drafting - mite not do anything but in my head im saving loooooads of fuel :D

Haha that was the first thing I checked! :P I had a little sit in the Accord today and tested out the parking sensors, it seems they dont give any indication of distance rather a constant beep when something is close, is that the norm? I ***umed it would be the sliding scale of beeps.
