    Hid and Led Questions

Hi, I recently bought a HID kit and when it turned up I couldn’t get it to fit. The bulbs wouldn’t fit through the hole in the housing they had a metal shield around the bulb and I’m now thinking that I was meant to remove this, it’s the same as the one on the far left in the picture in...

My only concern was that I've adjusted to the end of the thread but if some of you have had to of done this then this seems to be ok, but what an improvement the cars right on the power as soon as I push the pedal and almost feels like I can now open even more throttle.

    Accelerator sensor cable slack

I've just been out and done this (haven't driven yet tho). The only thing is there was a huge amount of slack, I took back about a cm worth of cable. Is this about right? The cars done about 109000 miles. Just been a bit of an idiot and adjusted it the wrong way restricting the car to...

    Dash Lights

I know that some of the dash lights can be turned on and off by pressing and holding the CD button for a few seconds, not sure if this is what's been done on yours but worth a shot.

How to get a cable from the passenger footwell to the battery?

lol, you shouldn't hit anything I made the hole quite high up in the footwell and sealed it with zinc primer and a grommet to be safe. i spent a few days looking for a route through, on my old mondeo it was just a case of following the fuse box but its not that easy with the honda.

    Bose subwoofer

The wire that's usualy labbeld amp is the remote lead and needs to be connected to the remote wire in the back of the head unit, if you haven't got a remote wire in the head unit then it'll have to be connected to something that is ignition controled I wired mine to the cig lighter

How far should the boot open when you press the release?

Yeh. It looks simple enough to do, does seem wierd that they'd bother to put a fully auto tailgate on the estate but not the saloon. I think its something ill be trying in the near future.

How far should the boot open when you press the release?

This is the link for how its done on the 7th gen http://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=310278 but theres no reason why it shouldnt work on the 8th gen as well.

How far should the boot open when you press the release?

No mate. The saloon accord only pops but there is a way to fit struts to the lid to make it open all the way. I just realised your drivng the 8th gen so I'm not actually sure what its ment to do but the 7th doesn't open all the way.

    Subwoofer With factory radio

I think the supply to the rear shelf from the cars amp system could be bass only, so the only speakers you will be able to run in the parcel shelf will only be bass as aposed to something like 3way 6x9s where you get the whole range of sound so therefore may only work on the bass setting...

    Subwoofer With factory radio

Yeh, the remote to the cig lighter is so that the amp turns on and off with the car otherwise you'll end up with a flat battery, with the converter you could keep the parcel shelf speakers but as they are bass only you really dont need them as a sub would be enough on its own.
