    CL7 coolant type and amount

Not sure on tips of coolant bleed, but always best to use the Honda stuff. Although pretty sure the k20 block has a bleed valve on top somewhere. Honda247 do them at a great price. If you add over 25 quid I think postage becomes free. (may have changed)...

    Soundproofing front doors

Your welcome dude. Good luck with the project. The beauty is that the Accord is lovely to take apart and put back together as with all Japanese cars. It was an enjoyable exercise

    Soundproofing front doors

I did a little sound proofing exercise on the Accord back in 2017 as little project. I do commute alot of miles (2000 miles a month) so thought it be nice to give it go. I had lots of left over materials from a friend who sound proofed his van so he gave alot of left overs to me. I had to buy...

    Headlight Bulbs

Check your alternator, bulbs can blow quick if your alternator is faulty. Stick a mutlimeter accross the battery terminals and ensure its a good steady 14v without any spikes or fluctuations of the voltage. Double check your earths aswell and ensure they are clean and has good continuity. I...

Power Steering High Pressure Hose - Advise

That is interesting the pipe you purchased had a leak. Good news that the replacement was ok, the job isnt too complex. Hopefully it lasts. I went for a genuine one in the end (I know - it set me back a quite a few pennies) but I heavily rely on my Accord so needed the reassurance it wasn't...

    Cooling fan

If you have just serviced the coolant (drained and refilled)? It may need some time to settle, so topping up will be normal

    Cooling fan

Have you checked your oil? Traces of mayonnaise residue in the oil? Head gasket may have gone causing coolant to be lost within the engine. Any leaks around the radiator? Pipes etc? From cold, when you start the engine? Is there large puffs of white smoke? Might be sign coolant is being burnt...

    Some strange issues!

It does sound like your alternator is not charging. When running most of us are using our main lights now due to the darker mornings. So the lights are feeding of from the battery, if the alternator is not charging the battery the mains headlights and tail lights will drain a fully charged...

What to Look for when buying 2006 Accord with 2.2cdti Engine?

On the top of my head Apart from the usual checks to do on a car, here are the common Accord diesel issues. Even if you experience these, they are well covered on this forum so you will have no trouble getting them sorted. -Check for exhaust fumes from the manifold (these are known to crack)...

Impressed with my mpg, what's yours?

I'll have to check properly, but it rarely goes above 40 lol. Most likely similar to yours around the high 30's. It will be a real sad day when the Accord goes thats for sure. Mot likely downgrade to a older civic IMA hybrid or something.

2.2 i-ctdi checking blow-by by opening oil filler cap

Sorry to hear about your accord :( I can confirm with your original youtube video that my Accord does exactly the same. My Accord is running smooth and well so I asume it is pretty normal for the icdti to act like that. My mileage is 223k

Impressed with my mpg, what's yours?

Currently getting 66.1 mpg earlier this week (tues). Dropped to around 64mpg today (fri) The Honda icdti loves the warmer weather and since the m25 is still little quieter in the mornings I am having a great run into work at the moment. The icdti engines are fabulous and as mentioned they do...

    Rusted bumper beam

As they have different part numbers, it is most likely not compatible for either vehicle. The rear crash beam seems to be still available from Honda, albeit its around £160 its not cheap. (Part 41) Quoting the part to coxmotorparts perhaps might get it for alittle more cheaper...

Power Steering High Pressure Hose - Advise

My power steering cooler pipe perished, and I also had to replace the high pressure power steering hose too last year on my Accord. The Top high pressure power steering hose is a common issue our our 7th Gen diesel Accord, the constant vibrations of the engine nacker the pipe although its very...
