Yes, it has got a reinforced bulkhead and various chassis mods, its listed on par with DC2 as one of the best FWD handling cars. They handle superbly and totally different to normal Accords.

You can transfer bits over but you will miss out on actually owning an ATR, it has a completely different chassis to the normal Accords. Putting in any H series into a normal Accord is pointless in my eyes, when you have an Accord-R done for you with a H22A7 available, I would just buy an ATR...

Thanks mate, No spacers, its OEM fitment. The OEM ATR wheels are 7J 55 offset and they sit great to be honest for OEM :D

I had a late R plate Accord Coupe in 2L LS form as a daily driver for some time, lovely thing, I only sold it as I needed something more economical or I would have kept it. When I had it, I did look on the how many left and it said a mere 24 left of mine, and probably believe it as I never see...

Bit pointless dropping in a H22 into a normal Accord unless you are trying to avoid insurance costs? As above, you need to upgrade the suspension, brakes and H22 will require additional work to fit it in, I would buy an Accord Type-R.

Yeah many are modified hence mine is pretty stock, its how I prefer it as its sorted out the box. My dad had a 2L Type-S and it was underpowered I thought. If you can get a Type-R, get one.

You will love it mate, get one. Just finding a good one is the hardest bit.

Saving it will be nice if possible but have a think about it anyways mate.

I wouldn't be put off by someone who sold a car on quick after but I would do checks on the car, sometimes their circumstances can force them to sell and so on.

Its sad, but you can get another Accord like yours for sub 1K and now you know to do all the checks and look after the next one, underseal is a MUST, and avoid winter roads too where salt is spread. If you feel like a project, don't let anyone put you off doing it.

Will most likely have an MOT advisory the list of your arm, people are not stupid, if it was a good one they will be priced higher than 2K easily. No Type-R should be bought below 2K these days if you want a decent one. Sometimes they list the issues, sometimes they don't, its your job to look...
