    Tyres - what's recommend?

I have Hankook k115 on the front. They seem fine. I forget what they/re rated at now, somthing like B/B/A I think. Quiet tyre with good wet grip. Compared to the other tyres I bought that I put on the back, they seem to not bounce and wobble going over wet man hole covers when going round bends...

    Front door speakers

It Was really easy to do. I heated the old speakers up on the gas hob to soften the adhesive and pull the cone off. The cones do melt easy! Then you will want to remove the plastic supports for the cone. A dremmel would be handy right now but all I had was a scalpel so I heated it up till it...

    Front door speakers

You can take the door card off and back on in less than 5 mins. From memory: Just undo the screws. There's one hidden under a little rubber matt below window button.Another couple behind the plastic panel that's directly behind the door handle. Prise off the plastic panel to the side of the...

    Front door speakers

I used my old speakers as adapters by removing the cones. I also removed the speaker connector and soldered it to the new speakers so I could hook them up to original wiring. I have focal speakers in doors and MBquart tweeters.

    Child seat on rear bench

Ive got a maxi cosi cabrio fix seat and ISO Fix base which fits fine in the 8th gen Accord, nissan note and Kia Rio. Ive been looking at the next seat up which will be a Britax rear facing seat that swivels. Kiddicare says it fits but I need to try it.

    Dashboard Light/Symbol Identification

Im on a 12 month service but have left the reminder codes on as you can just reset them when they come up. Once you get rid of the reminders you cant get them to come back on.

I put some speaker wadding behind my door cards and some behind the speakers. I get plenty of decent bass out the doors now.

Upgrading the Accord iCDTi ICE. Many Questions (& hopefully Answers too!)

Nice thread. You car will sound fantastic once it's completed. I wish I had gone to the extent you have with you sound proofing in my previous cars. I really wish I had the time to put all my old gear in 8th gen. I've got top of the range phoenix gold Ti Elite speakers (rrp £800) and phoenix...

    Soundproofing - Many guides inside

Wow! That's some impressive work. You'll have to start a new thread about your install. I'd be interested to know what your putting in considering the amount of time you've taken to sound proof the car. How long did it take to strip and stick all that down?

    Replacing front speakers

The speakers seem fine. I really have no idea why they'd be playing up. If you were to buy another set online who's to say if they'll work or not. You'd then have the hassle of sending them back. I'd go to a local car stereo outfit and let them know what the problem is. You could then try some...

    2.2 i-DTEC EX - Any known issues/servicing?

I really must be lucky, though I'm not complaining. If I did ever have dpf trouble I'd just get it removed. I think having the right oil and blowing the cob webs out once a or twice a year seems to be working just fine, Even with short journeys. I've tried every type of fuel too. It makes no...

    2.2 i-DTEC EX - Any known issues/servicing?

I don't do any motorway. I used to drive on a fast B road 60mph+ but now it's a slower B road 40mph to 60 if I'm lucky. I've still no dpf issues. If a cars had a few regens it's been said it knackers the DPF which I believe is untrue. One owner reprogrammed the ecu so the dpf regenerates...

    Replacing front speakers

I've got focal component coaxials plus MBquart tweeters so I'm stumped. What's the sensitivity of the new speakers? 92db+ is what Id be looking for. It's easier on the head unit. JBL do 2 ohms speakers (True 4 ohm) The cable in the car adds 2 ohms. I have a spare set and they worked fine. I'd...

    Replacing front speakers

Hi peter. It sounds like a dodgy connection to me if the sound totally cuts off from the speaker. How are the speakers connected? Are yoy still using the original speaker connectors? I used my old speakers as adapters and cut out the connector plug. I then soldered the original braided speaker...

    2.2 i-DTEC EX - Any known issues/servicing?

As above. Check under rubber seal of sunroof for rust. If dealer wont sort it Im sure its easy enough to take out and rust proof it as its been done by a member some where. DPF. See if its had any forced regens. If its had a few it may need a new DPF. Honda had a software update to fix this...

    Replacing front speakers

The adapters you can buy separately off ebay. I think they use the civic speaker adapters allowing you to put any 17cm speaker in. JBL are ok but my focal sound much better. The original tweeters can be took out easily too, allowing you to replace those and still keep the oem look by leaving...
