    Engine dies when warm

It certain does sound strange and appears to be linked to the temperature. One thing to try is disconnect the MAF sensor, it should run like a bag of spanners and stall or possibly not even start, the reason I say this is it will give a good indication as to whether the MAF sensor is doing...

    Engine dies when warm

Yes HDS is Honda Diagnostics System, which has set tests that can be conducted. It is interesting why it only seems to happen once warmed up though which does lean more towards a loose connection and expansion etc. incidentally there are two coolant temp sensors and two air/fuel temp sensors...

    Engine dies when warm

In respect of the P0088 code, You need to run a couple of tests using the HDS ( which you may need to take to either a Honda specialist or dealer for ) . the two tests are The Fuel rail pressure test and the fuel pressure control valve test, the advice if either these fail seems to be " replace...

Have I been given the wrong diesel fuel filter?

Paul, I don't want to alarm you at all but....... Firstly as the guys have said yours is the denso cartridge type filter. Secondly and this is what concerns me the most, if the garage has taken the filter off and then said you supplied the wrong filter, then you need to check what they took...

MAF & MAP Sensor Cleaning & IMRC Valve Cleaning

Good to see from your later post that the EML has gone out. It didn't do this for me and also if there is an issue with the MAF it will throw it into limp mode (well if you disconnect it, it does) Did you do anything else to the car at the same time, where you may have knocked something?

    Sudden increase in fuel consumption

Welcome John, As Fahad has said. Also have you had to queue a bit more recently on your way to work. Unfortunately at this time of year, it is difficult to say whether it could be a sensor or not as there are so many other factors, such as tyre pressures, which drop during the colder...

Fuel Economy Drop Since Manifold Replaced

As Fahad and the others have said. Mixture of the reduced temperatures (whilst still quite mild for the time of year) the ECU relearning and also probably more queuing in traffic due to Christmas traffic etc. Another thing to check is your tyre pressures as pressures can drop significantly...

For anyone considering a DIY oil service.....

I recall a guy on here thinking of or actually doing this sometime ago. Think it was in the newbie section. Not a bad idea and could probably be stored down the side of the house (where possible) Would have thought you would need a wide plank, don't know how heavy they would become when all...
