Just had the car battery changed and now the key fob is not doing anything. If I unlock the car manually, it only opens the driver door and car alarm goes off. Do I need to recalibrate the fob with the car? I know one fob key needs a battery change, but even the spare key does not unlock the car.

About 500 miles per tank using v power only. Mixture of motorway and inner city. Around 44 to 46mpg.

They always show me the used parts and I know they've used my oil. One of these days I'd like to learn to do it myself including the fuel filter.

I buy 6 litres of oil and give it to the garage. I never trust these guys unless I give them the parts.

The welding job would cost you around 200-300 quid. Any decent garage can do this. My preference would be to get the new part fitted. Try Saki Autos on the warwick road, Sparkhill.

Should Diesel fuel filters be changed every year? If the vehicle is regularly serviced at Honda, do they change it every year? I only use v power, I guess that helps keep the filter cleaner than regular fuel...?

Stick to v power. Makes a big difference on these cars because they are so fluid sensitive!

Cracked manifold can cause vibrations and boom into the interior depending on outside temp. The colder the temp outside the worse it sounds and feels.

Like others have said, the diesels are fine if you service them regularly. As for torque, you really need Fahad to tune it - trust me, it transforms the car.
