Diesel fuel filters. How often should they be changed?

Should Diesel fuel filters be changed every year?

If the vehicle is regularly serviced at Honda, do they change it every year?

I only use v power, I guess that helps keep the filter cleaner than regular fuel...?

No... Every 2 years/25k miles.

No. It isn't any cleaner, just allegedly burns cleaner.

Vpower does have cleaning agents in it but by virtue of the fact a filter is designed to filter and trap deposits then cleaning the filter is probably not its primary objective.

Personally I would do the filter on every second or maximum third service and ignore all the advice from Honda, it's designed for minimum maintenance as opposed to perfect maintenance.

They are becoming more important especially over the last few years . Gone are the days of prefilling the filter before you spin it on . Micron rating 10 is no longer good enough for these new super fine spray injectors .
