Yeah I've had a similar problem with one of my reverse parking sensors but only after heavy rain. When the weather dries up the problem goes away. Just so as you know you can also turn off the sensors by using one of the buttons on the dash!!

The car is Nov 2008 with 41k miles and is just out of warranty (November). The guide on the caliper was moving freely but I see what you are saying that the outer pads are sticking where they sit. I did put some copper grease on where it sits so hoping that allows it to move more easily.
