    Third brake light saloon

I fitted an OEM spoiler to my accord with built in LED brake light... so I disconnect the one on the rear shelf and used that to power the spoiler one instead. :) It was a bugger to get out, hadn't melted or anything it's just in there really tightly.

Where to sell a 2003 Honda Accord?

Car sickness is more related to not being able to see where you are going for me... I don;t suffer at all in the front but stick me in the back on a long trip and I'll get a little queasy after 30 mins or so. As for selling... hard to put a price on a car without seeing it's condition. I sold...

    Bluetooth module blocking all soundsystem

As for the reusable side of things... they simply need to be dried out every now and again. How often depends on how much moisture they absorb. I keep a spare handy in the house... so all I do is take one out of the car as soon as I notice any condensation on the glass and pop it on a radiator...

    Bluetooth module blocking all soundsystem

Sorry, not been around for weeks... Those are the type I meant but you can find them cheaper. I picked up two 1kg bags for about £12 and I then picked up another after I thought I'd lost one (eventually found it). So now I keep one on the rear parcelk shelf and one that I can throw up on the...

    Bluetooth module blocking all soundsystem

if you are having an issue with condensation in the car, get yourself a couple of dehumidifier bags. A couple of 1kg ones will suffice, leave one on the dash when you park up and swap them over every week. That cures the issue and also helps with condensation on the CD and DVD player lens which...

    Lost my car keys!

Do you have cover on your house insurance? I've got cover for all locks/keys on my house insurance plus I paid an extra £18 to cover my keys through my car insurance... I've got a little RFID tag on my keys that offers a reward if returned and my insurance will cover the cost of replacing all...

Accord High Pressure Power Steering Hose

I've replaced this on both Accords I've owned and never paid more than about £25 for each one. It's never been an issue and the fitment has been perfect. The 1st time I had it done and it hadn't failed when I sold the car 2.5yrs later... the second car was only done a couple of...

Whatever oil you choose to use... just make sure it's a low SAPS one, don't go for semi only fully synthetic and stick to a well know brand and you'll be fine. Personally I use Total 0w30 low saps fully synth as I've been able to get 7lts of that for less than £50 which does a complete oil...

    Indicator Relay Location

Does anyone know where I can find the relay for the indicators... I'm going to finish of converting all of the lights to LED and because of the isses fitting the rear ones (the ones that avoid the hyper flashing are too large for the rear) I'm going to replace the relay with one that dopes the...

Meet the new daily driver - Project Log

Also... I have the new car... it's identical to the old one in colour and spec. But it's a year newer and has 26k fewer miles on it... and it was cheaper than what I paid for the other one. Previous owner was a bit of an enthusiast too, having owned a few Hondas over the years and current has a...

Meet the new daily driver - Project Log

The car was abandoned a couple hundred yards up the road and missing a a wheel. A claim is in with the motor insurance bureau and so far they are covering the cost of the hire car I have (had that for almost 4 weeks now) as my insurance are being really feecking...

Meet the new daily driver - Project Log

RIP new project On the 18th Aug a drunk, uninsured driver decided to crash into 3 cars when I was visiting my mum in Milton Keynes... The Cucking Funt also did a runner. End result, my car is toast... after all that work and all that money. He hit the wheel, pushed it back into the wing/door &...

    Help with sale price

Take a look on autotrader and compare prices with other private sellers that have similar miles on them... or take the dealer price and adjust for the 20-30% extra they tack on top... I've seen dealers trying to charge £4k for a 57 EX tourer when you can get a 09/59 plate 8th gen EX spec for the...

Meet the new daily driver - Project Log

Another week, another update... Car is booked in for the power steering pipe on Thursday, and I sold the Tourer over the weekend... So towards the end of the month I can think about getting the last bit of paint work sorted.

latest update... New fuel pressure relief valve fitted. Car now starts properly again. Total cost was £53.50 as I found a Bosch unit for £35.50 (new) and the garage charged me £18 to fit as I couldn't crack the seal on that nut and to get the valve out, you have to undo the top bolt oft he...

Ozhonda forums shutting down after 15 years

I ran the UK MX6 owners club/forums from 2006 until 2013... I tried for 7-8 months to find some one to take it over without success... so had to shutter it. Always a shame when you can't find any one to take it over or the owner no longer cares about sorting it out.

Meet the new daily driver - Project Log

Wired up the brake light spoiler this morning, so aside from the paint on the drivers side that I'll do after selling my other car... All of the cosmetic work is done... Now it's just more mechanical stuff to finish sorting out (Fuel filter and Pressure relief valve)... and then I can turn to...

Meet the new daily driver - Project Log

The guide I was reading was for the Civic and that's got loads of room at that end of the fuel rail... Sadly not so on the Accord. You 'might' be able to fit a cut down socket on there and a small ratchet... But you need a decent sized breaker bar to crack the thing loose...
