DPF problem now cruise control wont work....

Hi F6Had, to be fair this was only done on Thursday this week and I have highlighted the issue to the tuner that worked on the car for me and he has said that he will look at the car again to try and fix the problem, so I shall give him the chance. As I live in the south west of Scotland a drive...

DPF problem now cruise control wont work....

Hi, might be one for F6had....? I had a dpf clog failure and car went in to limp mode, its a 2.2 diesel ES GT 150 for clarity. I had previously been doing high mileage, 20k plus a year, but situation changed to 4k miles in 8 months...hence issue. Any way i've had the dpf removed and the car...

Servicing gripe.... or am I being a tad silly here?

Adding a few quid for screenwash is one thing but 18 quid for oil that you don't want is pretty bad. On reflection I've decided to let this go...life is too short and to be fair the garage picked the car up from me, saving having to make other arrangements to get to work and back, and also...

Servicing gripe.... or am I being a tad silly here?

Long story short I had my car mot'd and serviced today by a garage that I trust to do a good job as I have used them before. All is fine and the car passed with no advisory remarks. Great! Except that on the bill I have been charged £3.40 for screenwash....this wouldn't be such a problem if I...

    Sat Nav update

I was running a copied disc from 2015 for about 18 months with no problems then all of a sudden the dreaded disc read error message kept coming up. Went back to original disc and has worked fine since. Was concerned I would wreck the dvd unit itself if I didn't put original back in.

    Removing front door card

Obviously quite difficult to say what is causing your noise but there are several wires and anchoring clips throughout the door as I am sure you are aware. Hopefully one of these has simply come loose and is easy to spot! I myself now have a new problem that causes the speakers to cut out...

    Removing front door card

Just a quick update for those that are interested....finally fitted the speakers today as it took ages for the adapters to arrive to fix to the door! What a difference the new speakers make! No distortion of any kind and phone calls are much clearer! On removing the second speaker this had also...

    Removing front door card

Matt and accord1108, the way I went about things was to first of all remove the sail panel which houses the tweeter. This simply pops off and pulls up the way. Unplug the power cable and put in a safe place. I find the footwell best at this Pont and best to have the window down too. You then...

    Removing front door card

Thanks 8thgenfan! This is the last screw that I need out! Will have a go at this tomorrow or the weekend. My new speakers are here along with the wiring that I ordered so no soldering required...just waiting on the adapters now so can fit the speaker to the door!

    Removing front door card

I posted this in another older thread but so far no response...probably just not been seen due to being added on to the older thread! I have managed to remove the screws inside the handle recess (the one to open the door), the one just in front of that that was a bit more hidden to me, and also...

    Windscreen washer

I moved the jets on mine very recently as they were shooting a little low. Be very careful when you try and move them as the plastic seemed very soft and that it would spoil very easily on mine. Managed to take a couple of knicks out of them! I used my pen knife to move them up and down etc...

    Replacement speakers for "Premium Sound"

Just inside from the freezing cold trying to get the door card off to remove the stock speakers. I have managed to remove the screws inside the handle recess (the one to open the door), the one just in front of that that was a bit more hidden to me, and also the one in the other recess where...

SAT Nav Diagnostic page on start up

Fixed it....on the particular screen that I had come up I had to press OK to run the 1st part of the diagnostic test, I then had to press it again to perform the second part of the auto diagnostic which was simply to test the hft. The next part is to press the back button on the steering wheel...

SAT Nav Diagnostic page on start up

Had a quick search on the forum and can't see anything specific to my new issue other than the instructions on how to open the diagnostics menu.......so..... My issue is that I had purchased a disc online for up to date maps in the middle of last year and up until a couple of weeks ago this was...

    Dipped headlight replacement

Considering the cost of the "upgraded" bulbs that I've found this is a very good option. Where abouts have u placed the ballasts? I've heard before to be careful about the colour temp as this can have an affect on the plastic inside the lens of the headlight glass. From the fact you have said...

    Dipped headlight replacement

Thanks for the replies gents. I think when I get the time this weekend I will be changing both dipped bulbs and possibly even the indicator bulbs as well to minimise my chances of having to go through this again in a few weeks or months. Is it definitely an h1 bulb? My car is a 2009 es gt tourer.

    Dipped headlight replacement

Apologies if this has been posted before, I did run a search before asking and the best I saw was the post regarding the headlight alignment with front bumper removal. That may become my best answer!! Last night my dipped headlight blew, to be fair I have had the car for nearly three years and...
