    Heater matrix ictdi

Thanks channel, I think a good flush first like you say, could do with a new radiator as well I think. Then I'll run some super duper sealant through see if it helps. As I've been diluting the coolant past few days the strange thing is I'm getting more heat in the cabin, I'm guessing the...

    Heater matrix ictdi

Thanks, that's what I thought, I think it is blocked as I've only had warm air from passenger side. However I'm losing a fair bit of fluid every day. I'll try anything at this point ha, cheers

    Heater matrix ictdi

Honda want 1600 plus for me to supply a matrix as they no longer supply them. I appreciate the labour costs on this and perhaps an independent would come in cheaper.

    Heater matrix ictdi

Well finally I get a leak, I know what's involved in replacing this and it's something I cannot attempt. Does anyone know the cost to replace this at honda or an independent. Anyone tried stop leak products. I'm not worried about the heat it's been blocked for 5 years anyway. Thanks

Power Steering Reservior & Hoses (i-CTDI)

Keep at it mate, these are small problems and all your hoses are on eBay. The engines are too good. Until something major goes I'll be doing my best to keep it on the road.

Power Steering Reservior & Hoses (i-CTDI)

I've replaced my high pressure ps hose with a £20 eBay hose and it has been brilliant, no problems whatsover, was a 20 minute job. The whirring noise well try and replace the fluid first, make sure it's honda fluid and no thing else. You can use a turkey baster to remove the fluid and replace...

Thanks F6HAD, this is something I may consider. Not looked too much into getting that done yet but by all the good reports on here it is worth thinking about.

    EGRValve

Removing and cleaning this on a pre-facelift accord, I have no idea how much build up is in there but do you think it's worth doing ? There's a good guide on cleaning this and replacing the gaskets. Looks straight forward just wondered if it's worth doing?

    Highest Mileage

Hi, no not really, very occasionally ill put in Wynn's extreme cleaner and before the mot I've used cataclean a few times ( also had it fail with cataclean) More importantly I change my oil twice a year and fuel filter once a year. It's important to use the OEM fuel filter and I use 0-30 fully...

    Highest Mileage

I decided to learn how to fix this car myself after being absolutely ripped off by a "mechanic" and a caliper that he couldnt sort out. I've managed to fix everything from ball joints to stuck leaky injectors thanks to the forum and YouTube.

My 2004 i-ctdi is currently on 231,000, ive had to replace many little bits over the years but nothing really major yet. Want to do an egr clean next. Ive had it fail on emissions most years when I first got the car but have learnt how to clean it out now before the mot.

    Was this a good buy?

Sorry to hear this, definitely have a look at fuel filter. Scan the forum I'm sure the problem will be covered or at least help. I don't have a code reader but it's something I must get.

    Was this a good buy?

I also have bit of rust on arches, as my car's not worth anything I just remove rust best I can, kurust, fill them, quick sand prime and tin of Halfords paint and they look pretty decent. I guess depends on how picky you are.

    Was this a good buy?

Lovely looking motor, I've an old 2004 pre facelift on 230,000 and she still purrs. Wonderful engines. I only use 0,30 fully synth twice year, fuel filter learn to do yourself as it's quite easy but there's a tricky bolt round back, you just need a Flexi long screwdriver and bit of patience...

    Power tailgate problem

Hi, I have a 2004 ctdi and have just fixed my boot for about the 4th time over 3 years. This may help. The problem for me has always been the wiring loom which is located top left looking into the boot. You need to pull off a couple of bits of trim which is straight forward and the loom is...
