Alarm Keeps Going Off - But No Indicators Flashing & No Immobiliser

Hi jerseyman Glad you had a success, hopefully. Just to put a fly in the ointment, i had no cobra alarm fitted, i inspected all the wiring around the hinges, on both sides, all seeming ok. Removing all cable loom tape to view cables was a chore and bundling them with individual wraps of tape to...

Alarm Keeps Going Off - But No Indicators Flashing & No Immobiliser

I have been chasing alarm faults and have found the Cobra alarm is not fitted to my tourer, having searched for it in the rear offside and nearside quarters.... I think it is built in and Cobra alarms may be a after market fit to sell off late 07accords without alarms to clear stock before new...

Alarm Keeps Going Off - But No Indicators Flashing & No Immobiliser

Hi jerseyman, The switch is on the bonnet catch, remove plastic trim between shiny grill front and metalwork near radiator... Lots of plastic rivets... Pop up the middle of them using a forked device... I filed a notch in a screwdriver first time but bought a special tool to remove them with...

Alarm Keeps Going Off - But No Indicators Flashing & No Immobiliser

Hi Honda_saj Update.... I thought i had a dedicated siren but it is not so... I have 2 tones and both operate in alarm condition.... So can't isolate the siren. However as the alarm isn't a cobra one with backup batteries i think it only uses the main battery and I suspect the shorting link...

Have just tested horn and it is a two tone horn... And seem to be from other side of front... Alarm Keeps Going Off - But No Indicators Flashing & No Immobiliser

Thanks for getting back quickly.... The pic of the siren is like the used ones on ebay as Honda Accord 2003-7 alarm horn/siren and sells at £10-20 and has one fixing strap and apparently according to the ebay ad had only 1wire connection.... So it must not be the home of the electronics and...

Alarm Keeps Going Off - But No Indicators Flashing & No Immobiliser

I planned to replace battery pack in siren, supposedly in rear offside quarter of tourer, obtained battery pack, stripped rear trim etc out of boot and no siren module to be found. As i had disabled the alarm to prevent spurious alarms by removing the bonnet plug from bonnet catch and inserting...

Alarm Keeps Going Off - But No Indicators Flashing & No Immobiliser

Sure do. May eventually resort to fitted battery in siren box but for now am happy with it as it is and my alarm battery is seemingly holding charge....accessing siren in estate seems to be a bit of a job and not worth the trouble yet.... I can reinstate the bonnet contact easily enough if needed.

Alarm Keeps Going Off - But No Indicators Flashing & No Immobiliser

Hi scottydog... It took no more than 10-15mins to access plug and link it I dont know what vehicle you are referred too.... Mine is a Honda Accord tourer and removing floor carpet and side trim is a bit of a FAFF, and breaking lugs and fixings are likely if you are not familiar with the...

Hi Steve, I had same issues and went to the trouble of getting the alarm battery.... £20..but have not fitted it yet as i dont want to have to strip out all the carpet and trim in the boot... Just yet..... What I have done is disabled the alarm by disconnecting the bonnet contact wire behind the...

Upper display problem and some questions

Hi simon, I too finally got the display fixed by easing the green connector sleeve away from the pcb and resoldering the joints from the 'wrong' side of the pcb... ie the side that does not have the printed circuit on it. It is a job for a steady pair of hands and a fine soldering iron bit...

Upper display problem and some questions

Hi, have had same problem and a guy on ebay offers a quick guaranteed fix for £35 and claims it is cracks in pcb.... This is a crock of sh**. I have tried all the usual suggestions, checking for plug intermittency etc but never produced the fault. It just goes blank and a sharp knock on the...
