    mpg readout

I just googled it, it seems diesels don't need to control the air intake....oh well, learn something new everyday

    mpg readout

just out of interest, if diesels don't have throttles, what controls the amount of air the engine takes in ?

    mpg readout

I still think it has more to do with injector 'on' time because if the MPG was calculated purely by throttle position, how could the system compensate for ambient temperature/ pressure differences ie. engine requiring more fuel in cold weather due to the air being denser? just my opinion...

    mpg readout

surely it must be a transducer...possibly a diaphragm which is displaced with fuel pressure and this displacement is measured ie. more pressure- more displacement of diaphragm- bigger output signal

    HID headlights

optional extra as they are mentioned in the owners manual. sorry just realised you said facelift...I meant on pre-facelift

    mpg readout

Haven't seen one fail yet...they do have a bypass system built in just in case the impeller seizes.

    mpg readout

as everyone else is guessing, allow me to add some useless trivia...In piston powered aircraft they often use impeller type fuel flow sensor which is usually fitted to fuel line down stream from the fuel pump....if the aircraft has a return line to the tank, another sensor is fitted and the...

16" wheels - would like to convert to 15"

Be careful with brake clearance...the early accords with 15'' wheels had 280mm front brake discs and later models (with 16'' wheels) come with 300mm brake discs. maybe they will fit..maybe not

Getting access to the bulb is actually easier than it looks although you may scratch your knuckles...it takes about 5mins to replace both headlight bulbs (on a petrol model anyway)

    Retro fitting Front Fog Lights

sorry to hijack this topic but does anyone have experience on the fog light kits on sale @ Ebay...the ones from US. my original fog lights have a condensation problem and particularly the OS fog light is now beyond repair (reflector corroded). it seems you can get this particular kit (2 fog...

    Heated seat switch bulb

Hi Jav, no just the seat heater switches...I think I had to replace 4 bulbs all up (2 switches) what i didn't realise at the time was the switch back lighting bulbs were different rating than the Hi / Low bulbs so as it turns out my the back lighting on the switches is little bit brighter than...

    Heated seat switch bulb

ooops... now that i think about it they did have some sort of caps on them which can be removed easily and transferred to the new bulbs

    Heated seat switch bulb

the bulbs in my pre-facelift are just standard white bulbs (i bought replacements from RS) so I guess the colour of the lighting is determined by the switch it self not the bulb

Thinking of a Tourer - buying advice?

No, it seems the struts are only there to help the boot open and once up, hold it open. when my tailgate motor was playing up it always worked closing the tailgate but only sometimes worked opening it.
