    Nasty shaking/vibration at speed

Does the mk8 also suffer with DS issues? If you can drive through it and the wobble dissapears then usually rules out balancing and simple stuff.

Super low MPG on Tourer '05 2.0 Auto

13-15mpg will be a issue causing it. My V8 M3 did 16mpg around town worst case.

    A/C Compressor clutch not engaging

Old thread but i did not know these had that. Even so my diesel took an absolute eternity to heat up :(

    Stolen parts/replacement

Do you mean you replaced the o2 sensor for non genuine and your looking for genuine sensor? Then as above try ebay or 24/7spares or similar. Also which sensor primary or secondary? It may be a faulty or rubbish cat not doing its job properly and not the sensors. You can check this by looking...

    Rear Brake Piston

Just pushes back. May be seizing. If it won't budge you can put a block in between that will allow the piston to come out a smidge (not enough to fall out) and gently pump the pedal to free the piston. Look behind the boot to see if the pistons rusted. It may be time for a rebuild or new caliper

    i-DTEC Clutch Slip

Sorry to hear that. Personally I dont think you need a clutch setting tool unless you make a mistake installing it and have to redo it. The LUK clutches come pre tensioned.

Silent block replacement in the lower control arm

Cant answer but i do have this kit and pulled all the bushes out of my 20+ yr Toyota to replace with poly bushes. The kits decent and robust and will pull out most bushes/joints if you have the right adapter combo- which can be a faff. I also have a ***ortment of press plates so can use them if...

    i-DTEC Clutch Slip

If your revs are rising and your not increasing in speed the its clutch slip for whatever reason, clutch, flywheel, mainseal etc. Would be taking it back to them and dont let them fob you off.

    oil in turbo outlet

Oil misting is OK on comp side shouldn't be puddles of oil though.

    Changing the ATF

In a ideal situation draining and refilling at the same time until only fresh oil comes out is best I think. Realistically as ScoobyDoo said two oil changes closer together should be ok especially if your not experiencing shifting problems the first change will probably get most of the...

    built in amplifier

^^listen to this guy not the eBay vendor. At the very least you will have to get or make a harness to take the low level RCA from your new HU to the Honda AMP. Or a box of tricks that will convert it all for you. It's not plug n play as all the wires and connectors are proprietary to...

    Driveshaft rebuilding

People have had good results with pattern parts, others say they are no good. You can replace the CV (outboard) joint, but it's normally the inner joint/cup that wears in my experience and not usually rebuilt with a kit.

    Hondabond vs others

Your over thinking it. Your oil temp will probably see 120c max so pretty much any oil resistant sealant will work.

    Clutch gone down again

Sounds like a really good mod. Honda boxes are easy to work on aswell. Though I expect will make it very revvy so no good if you like cruising.

Good result, thanks for the tips. Having a welder is a godsend.

    Clutch gone down again

I would guess you have a leak somewhere if the fluids low. Have you checked the slave by pulling back the boot and checking for fluid? System must have air init that's why the pedal not returning. You said in another thread you use a vacuum bleeder, if that doesn't work try the two man...

    Xenon retrofit

Your correct it refers to the colour chart but higher Kelvin does translate to lower lumens (something to do with visible). 4300k would be the most visible light but can be yellowish, 6000k would be a slightly bluish and probably a happy medium. But if you want max visibility then 4300k is the...

    Oxfordshire Alternator Help needed

That's not a bad price for a Denso(without looking) Oh yes that diy was a while ago. iirc get the correct off set spanner, long enough or a tube to go over for additional leverage. I put the alternator on with the belt partially attached which is not the best way. So bolt the alternator on and...
