DIY 7th Gen Dipped Beam Headlight Bulb Change

The 8th gen is a bumper-off job. The handbook shows how to do it through the wheel arch but there's no way that's humanly possible.

    GT Side Skirt fixings

Hey Dunny. Might be a bit late to reply but yes, they look right. I've got a guide here, if that helps: https://typeaccord.co.uk/board/threads/side-skirt-replacement.9287/ From 2012! Didn't realise it was so long ago!

    Leaving the fold

Enjoy the new car Matt, it'll be a shame to see you go. I've used a good number of your DIYs to do things on my 7th and 8th gens they've been really helpful.

    How many active members now?

I'm not on here as much as I used to be, largely because internet connection at work is non-existant (I used to be on all the time at my lunch break). I've been a member since 2010 and have found the knowledge on here to be invaluable. So much so that I now own 2 Accords!

Any point servicing my 56 plate 2.2?

I would say it needs an oil change at the very least. Low mileages are often worse for a car, as they tend to be shorter journeys that don't allow the engine / oil to get up to temperature. This is especially an issue with diesels as they take longer to warm up than petrols. A cold engine is a...

If I remember correctly on the saloon you wrap the end of a screwdriver in cloth and gently prise it off from the outside. But yes, it is very tight.

    Winter wheels and TPMS valves

I spoke to a technician at Honda today. They said the Accord doesn't auto-learn the codes so I would have to take it in for re-coding each time I swapped from summer to winter wheels and vice-versa for which they would charge an hour's labour each time. Out of interest,he also said it is fine to...

    Winter wheels and TPMS valves

Yes Daz, the car came with TPMS. Anyone got any ideas how to recalibrate it in the car menu (2015 tourer)? I guess you need to program in the codes from the new valves and set their positions but how?

    Knocking

Drop links seems to be a common cause of this. I had the knocking, got mine changed and now no noise. If you can grab hold of them and they wobble, they are definitely gone. Mine didn't move but changing them sorted the problem.

    Winter wheels and TPMS valves

I want to swap to a set of winter wheels & tyres. I've got a replacement set of Accord wheels with TPMS valves that came off another car. Anyone know how the TPMS valves work with the car ie can I just swap out my old wheels for the new ones and the valves sort themselves out or do I need to...

Yes, but the problem is I don't want to have to buy a new set of valves as they are rather expensive.

    Tyre pressure monitoring valves question

I'm looking to get a set of winter tyres for my 8th gen tourer. I'd like to use a set of 16" alloys that I used on my 7th generation which the manual says should fit. These have the bog standard rubber valves whereas the wheels on the 8th gen have the TPMS valves. I don't really want to go to...

Full size spare wheel (225/50-17) iDTEC Tourer (How To)

The rear section of the tray has two legs that help to support the boot floor either side of the dvd drive for the satnav. They don't look particularly strong but they do make a difference. Likewise with the trim. Putting it back in pushes the boot floor up a couple of mm and keeps it all...

Full size spare wheel (225/50-17) iDTEC Tourer (How To)

Great instructions - I did this a few weeks ago. Best tool I found to cut the polystyrene with? The wife's favourite bread knife (I made sure she had gone out first!).
