    Ignoring Cracked Exhaust Manifold

Thanks for your replies! I haven't noticed any change in fuel economy or the noise to be honest, but I think you are right, I should get it fixed up... I would probably would not be able to sell the car with the cracked exhaust anyway! I will try to find a used or reconditioned exhaust manifold...

    Ignoring Cracked Exhaust Manifold

Hey guys! Unfortunately the time has come for my manifold as well. I first started smelling the fumes in the cabin perhaps a month ago. By now, however, I have realised that I can bypass this problem completely by circulating the air within the cabin as opposed to blowing in fresh air from the...

    05 icdti clutch problem/failure

A follow up! So on Saturday I bought second hand slave + master cylinders from breakyard.com, both for 60+vat. The price was quite good, I would say, as these go for around 100 each if new. Anyway, parts arrived yesterday and not wasting much time I replaced the slave cylinder. it took quite...

    05 icdti clutch problem/failure

It is the pedal that, once depressed and kept so a short while, loses the pressure and does not come back up anymore. It happened pretty quickly, maybe within 8 gear shifts, that the car became inoperable. Im really happy to hear that this may be the cylinder, my brother is of the same opinion...

    05 icdti clutch problem/failure

OK so I replaced the fluid and it didn't help. If I push in the clutch pedal and release it quick it will come back to the normal position but if I push it in and keep it pressed in for a while it wont come back anymore. Could this be the slave or master clutch cylinders?

    05 icdti clutch problem/failure

Hi all, So it has been 14k miles since I bought my lovely pre-face lift 05 plate accord and today on the way to work I ran into some clutch problems (it now is at 114k miles and there was no service book so I don't know if the clutch was ever replaced) :((((. The clutch pedal stop properly...

Yes the question about changing the clutch w/o the flywheel is quite interesting. I'd like to know that too!

I will be doing a 3000+ mile trip in less than a month  Be ***ured I will share my experiences once I get back, or perhaps even when I'm half-way done with the trip! :-) I think that might be quite interesting.

    Oh boy it drove quick

ChrisS, I got stage 1 done on mine. I may get stage 2 done at some point, but right now stage 1 is plenty for me. I would even say it was more than well worth it. As I mentioned before, I had some concerns and thoughts about getting this done myself. Luckily I just made a decision and stuck to...

    Oh boy it drove quick

Gentlemen, I thought I'd share this with you. Thanks to Ben Cooper and his thread '....what are you waiting for' I have spontaneously decided to get the remap done on my '05 i-cdti, which I now own for some good 30 days. At the beginning of this week I got in touch with Fahad and fixed an...

Stage 1 Remap + EGR Off - What are you waiting for?

Glad to hear that the remap is treating you well. I'm considering getting it done on my recently bought accord and was wondering if it is considered as 'modification' of the car and should be declared to the insurers? Also, I've heard that clutch should be replaced with a better one? EDIT...

    Should I change my clutch?

Thanks for the advice! I will refrain myself then from changing the clutch until it actually breaks then! will be doing a 3000 mile trip next month so I think I will need some luck :-)

    Should I change my clutch?

Hi All, I recently picked up a 2005 diesel with 100k miles. It had no service history and I dont know whether it was ever changed. I always ***umed that I might need to change the clutch and that is ok with me and now I have an opportunity to do that (I will be driving abroad where my brother...
