    Can't shift into reverse

Hi all, It appears that after an evasive maneuver today requiring harsh gear shifting that I've lost the use of my reverse gear and the forward gears are incredibly stiff to shift into! Any suggestions on how to diagnose and fix the problem? Tried all the local garages that they're unavailable...

first drive in my accord estate observation.

Can’t help you with the camera but I can certainly verify the spatial anomaly! In reality there’s still decent space left as you’ll notice when you reverse park the first couple of times. Even now I’ll park and swear I’ve hit the next car with my tow-bar, but have at least a foot or two to go...

    moisture in headlamp

Actually, not that difficult a job as I found out a few weeks ago! Had the same issue and this article by Mr CL7 helped me get my headlight unit out of the car. The only hiccup I had was the 10mm socket wrench where the extension wasn't long enough. Recommend you have at least a 4 inch...

Alternator or Battery on the way out - tests.

Sounds an awful lot like an issues I've had with my 2005 2.2 CTDI where my battery would go flat, even in mid-drive! It boiled down to an alternator clutch/pulley fault at the end, hence my car was only charging intermittently or not at all. This looks like a good guide on working on the alternator

As Teacake says, who's selling and what it says about the car is vital. My 2.2 CTDI was bought privately two years ago for £2600 with 146k miles on the clock. Most on the forum would have cautioned me if I'd asked about it here! However, the car was a company car from a director who was...

    Sillicone Gel troubles

Thanks Dave, did try that with no success, they just stayed in place. :( Good news is that its all sorted! Just went ahead and split the headlight unit open and cleared it all out. Now re-sealed and back in the car. Off to fetch me some well deserved dinner me thinks.

    Sillicone Gel troubles

After a good days DIYing following Mr CL7's excellent headlight removal guide I've managed to remove the condensation and have it ready to place back into the beast. Then I recalled a spiffing bit of advice from my internet browsing: try to add a bit of window wash to the inside of the glass to...

    Accord type & Service Manual?

Hi all! Been viewing the forums and I like the levels of expertise I've seen in here; hoping I could make use of/learn from all you in good time! My Accord Tourer Executive 2.2 CTDI (55 reg) is a lovely car that I've been using for the last two years without fault... ... that is unless you...
