Sounds an awful lot like an issues I've had with my 2005 2.2 CTDI where my battery would go flat, even in mid-drive! Thanks Dave, did try that with no success, they just stayed in place. :( Good news is that its all sorted! Just went ahead and split the headlight unit open and cleared it all out. Now re-sealed and back in the car. Off to fetch me some well deserved dinner me thinks.
