    Washer Woes #1

I stripped mine down today and have blown it through from all ways and it all seems clear. What I did find, is that the 'T' piece is in fact a sort of 'Y' piece with a straight through flow to the N/S and a branch to squirt the drivers side. When the pipes are removed from the nozzles and the...

    Washer Woes #1

It seems a common theme - I'll try and find some time to look at the weekend.

    Washer Woes #1

Incidentally (and off topic) what happened to your Mondy? I've had a couple of them (both diesels) and they're a cracking car - I'm missing the heated screen already!

    Washer Woes #1

I like the filter idea as the washer fluid in when I bought it smelled really musty and old (I think the car had been standing for a while) so there could be some contamination in there that would normally be held in suspension and squirted out when the washers were used. I'll have a look when...

    Washer Woes #1

Ever since I've owned my car, the drivers side winscreen washer has been a bit pants. It doesn't spray (like the N/S) but is a sort of jet that squirts just above the parked wiper. I finally got around to cleaning out the washer jet (which has been butchered and is why there is no 'misting' on...

    messy oil filter change

I think it's a pretty good place as it saves crawling around the underside with a filter wrench! Careful use of a container does help though.

    Front Drop Link

I didn't have a cutting disk available and found that if you cut the four plastic pips from the back of each joint, you can tap the link off with a hammer and then remove the plastic cup and dust seal. It makes the ball end of the joint visible and it's much easier to apply the mole grips.

    Front Drop Link

I've just done mine and cannot believe how it's quietened the front end knocks and rattles.

    anti roll bars

I found that when I looked just last week. The front bolts appear relatively easy, but there is definitely something in the way to stop the rearmost ones coming out without dismantling the front end even further.

    Wax options

You can't get any further from the sea than sunny Birmingham but it's no excuse for not buying a reasonable wax. I tried Natty's paste wax last time and it seems OK.

That looks really good; what did you use?

What sort of mpg do you all get on your diesels?

My first tankful gave me 45 MPG (mainly round town stuff) and the second one was a mixture of town commuting and a 250 mile round trip to Cardiff at the weekend (cruise on at a steady 70mph) and returned 48.4. M

That's bad news matey, sorry to hear it.

    Anti-Roll Bar D Bush Replacement

I followed the guide and did mine this morning without any difficulty. The only thing I found was that the bolts were a little tight becasue of all the baked on dirt under there (the previous owner lived in the countryside and most of it seems to be attached the the underside of my car) so I...

    Anti-Roll Bar D Bush Replacement

That's perfect timing as I reckon mine are worn. For that much, it's worth replacing them as a matter of course.
