it's less about the lip kit but more about where the OEM number plate goes. With the standard bumper, behind the mount there are 2 square holes roughly an inch or so square and I was wondering if people just fiberglassed them over or if it was an aftermarket bumper. But thanks for your reply...

I didn't unfortunately, like you, mine isn't the switch, I think I may have messed up my micu (not sure if that's the correct bit but the bit that's on the back of fuse box) I've bought an exact replacement but not got around to fitting it yet

They're just a push fit, the only real thing holding it on is the adhesive, the pins are only there to locate. The pins have a sleeve that will probably stay in the boot lid (mine did) but there's no securing method on the pins themself

just a quick update, I think I may have sorted it out. I took my stereo out this morning and the plug on the back of the stereo wasn't clicked in properly and it seems to have sorted it but I've only driven it for half an hour but it was faultless and my steering wheel controls are illuminated...

My drivers side door is not being recognised when it's open but all of the others work as they should. If my key is not in the ignition before the allotted time it locks the car unless one of the other doors (other than the drivers) is opened.

OK, would anybody be able to shed some light on this, my steering wheel controls have all given up the ghost now. None of them are illuminated, not even the cruise control side.
