Have you considered Bilstein B6? They are a better shock than the B4 which are pretty good replacement for standard. Not sure they will be adequate replacement for Type S shock. I don't think B8 is worth going for imho.

What size wheels will fit over the brake calipers on the front will be the biggest concern. I am a bit late to this but there is certainly a hitch for a ATS wagon, I have a 2013 and I bought a factory hitch kit complete with template for cutting the bumper. They are available and should be easily obtained from Honda or NOS suppliers.

When adding sealant,I find that the best method for me is after adding a thin coat of sealant, lightly tighten the screws finger tight- no tools. After the sealant cures fully tighten the fasteners, This allows a better thickness of sealant and helps prevents leaks.

Are you sure its not the driveshaft oil seal leaking and allowing oil to be flung around the engine bay?
