So I'm now the proud owner of a Honda Accord. Ended up with a 2.0 executive auto, 1 owner from new 72000 and a good amount below my budget of £2500. Tried to hold out for the 2.4 but the Peugeot had other ideas.

Thanks. I keep looking but haven't found the right one yet. Not in a massive rush at the moment although not sure how much life the Dual mass in the Peugeot has left in it.

Thanks ukcl9. My heart says 2.4 and my head says 2.0. With a 3 year old and another on the way money will be a bit tight but sounds as if the 2.4 will be manageable. Had a 2.0lt Passat that avg 32 which died on me then to my sins bought a 2.0hdi Peugeot 307sw as a stop gap. Had it 3 months...

Hi, I'm new to the forum as currently looking to by a Accord but torn between the 2.4 and 2.0. The diesel is out as only travel about 12,000miles a year and only a 9 mile journey to work. Is there a massive difference in mpg between the two. Looking to spend about £2500 max. Cheers
