I have done a search but not found much. Did the 7th gen Accord only come with one style of 16" alloy wheels. I have seen these on ebay, what's a good price for them - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-HONDA-ACCORD-16-INCH-ALLOY-WHEELS-TYRES-205-55-16-/171178188114?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item27db03dd52 I can't believe how much some people want for 1 of these alloys though (and the space savers).

Did they make steel wheels in 16" or would any others fit from the Civic or earlier/later Accords?

Are these the correct measurements I need to look for:

PCD - 5 x 114.3
ET - 55
Centre bore - ????

Cheers :)

Cheers :)

They've listed those alloys as ET55 but I'm seeing references to the Accord actually being ET40-50. What is the min/max offset I can fit with standard suspension?

It looks like the 6th and 8th gen Accord wheels will fit and the 7th/8th gen Civic? Possibly the HRV and FRV?

there is one more style of 16" wheels,

these ones which you've posted can be bought for about 150-200,
standard offset for accord is 55, but you can fit something with offset about 40 it depends how wide the rim is, I have 35 with 9" wide rim at the back and 8" on the front ;)

you can use a lot of wheels, not just from Honda, you can use some wheels from Mazda,Suzuki, Mitsubishi, hyundai and many more japanese or korean cars, you need wheel with pcd 5x114.3 offset between 55-40/38, centre bore 64.1 or bigger so then you need to use spigot rings which can be bought on ebay for 5 quid.

Just to jump in , I been offered really cheep Lexus wheels but bore is 60.1 so they not going to fit ?

Those don't look too bad, not seen that style before.

The ones I posted actually look like they've had a refurb but I don't want to pay too much as the tyres would be scrapped.

The arches do look pretty big so I'm glad there is room for movement with the offset.

Cool, sounds like I have alot of choice then, I will get searching on ebay! :)

You need 64.1 or larger, so you can fit spigot rings to make the hole smaller. A centre bore of 60.1 won't fit over the centre hub. You may get them on at a push but you'd probably struggle to get them back off again. I think they can be machined but will cost more than what the wheels are worth.

That's what I thought but better to check

Thanks for help
Shame because I could get 5x114.3 Lexus wheels with 225/55/16 winter tyres with 5.5mm Dunlop tyres for £140

Would be good for one season and for next year would be cheaper to get 16 winter tires then 17

Yeah I know what you saying but I would have to get myself a set if 16 inch wheels because I have 17 on now .

I know it would be good investment for future but currently running short on cash so need to pass this for now

For £160 I can get avon ice Turing 5mm 225/45/17 fitted in my local garage but 5 mm is a bit low

I take it that's £160 for 2 and not 4? Or are they used for that price?

I forgot to ask, I ***ume that 15" alloys will not fit my car, it's won't clear the caliper?

yes the 15" also fit your car...i have 15" on mine even if it's not tourer !
also i do believe it's the same caliper for salon and tourer, too for 7gen

Part worn £160 for 4 fitted 5mm on each wheel

I doubt that 15" wheels would fit a 2.4 Accord... the discs and calipers are larger.

2.2cdti & 2.4vtec have bigger brakes, so 16's are the smallest you can go , the 2.0 thave smaller so I believe you could fit 15's

Thanks for confirming, I didn't think the 15s would fit, never seen a 2.4 with them on.

Will 16" Civic wheels with a 45 offset fit ok, how far in would they be from the arch?

Also has anyone fitted 195/60/16 tyres or is it best to stick with 205/55/16?

I am in the same boat of looking for wheels for winter tyres. These links may be useful when considering wheels sold as fitting another car...

http://adaptitusa.com/referencebook.htm

http://www.wheel-fitment.com/PCD/5x114.3/67.1/

It looks like Mazda 6 rims would fit a Honda if you also bought some spigot rings and you were happy with the offset being 5mm different.... If the Mazde offset is 50mm does that mean the wheels with stick out further or will they be more recessed?

Good links nice one :)

The higher the offset number the further in the wheels will sit, the lower the number the further out they will sit.

Anyone fitted Civic 16" alloys to a tourer, do they suit the car?

Well I've bought some Civic wheels and collecting them on Saturday. They are ET45 but I ***ume this won't make much difference.

I'm doing same thing , looking for cheap 16's from accord or civic and winter tyres ( they so much cheaper in 16's + I expect ride to be even better)

Would it help in fuel economy?

they'll be ok :)

Cheers mate :)

There are more Civic wheels on ebay than Accord ones. The ones I've bought aren't far from you in Leicester :) 100 miles each way but I can test the car out on a long run then.

The ride should be better but with the higher sidewall there will be more roll when you corner. Plus winter tyres use softer rubber so mpg will go down slightly as well.

These aren't the ones I bought but they're the same style. They're not too far from you so worth considering?

First one is 4 stud so no ( but I seen them)
Second one - yes

Third one - I'm now , thanks

It's a scheme that 15's don't fit mine (cdti) as there is couple Honda 15's with winter tyres on already for not a lot of cash

Fail - I didn't even notice that was a 4 stud!!

Yeah the 2.2 is the same as my 2.4 and 15s won't fit over the brakes - even cheaper rubber then.

Will those will fit accord 7 gen 2.2 cdti
