Hi,
my 2007 Accord has started leaking oil through the left hand driveshaft seal where it goes in to the diff. There's a very small amount of play in the driveshaft where it goes in to the diff, but no more than two other fwd cars that I've crawled under and rattled the driveshafts.....
Is this a known failure or is it likely to be a symptom of something more serious? There is a short clip on Youtube about changing the driveshaft seal, but this is for an American Accord so is a different beastie. Is there anything I should know before I replace the seal- I know I've got to remove the driveshaft but are there any hidden horrors lurking? Any advice would be gratefully received....
