Hi, can anyone help on this one..... I have a 2003 accord estate with the sat nav display head unit I have had problems with the cd and have not had any sat nav but was able to use the airccon - heating and audio touch controls on the screen until today? I was driving on a short journey and had a blue bar with the words do not turn off the engine on the head unit display I had to turn the engine as I had to pick something up from a shop the blue bar was half way full when I turned the engine off when I came back to the car the head unit display would not work so I am unable to operate the hating-airccon or use any other touch screen controls? I have used the several times since and the display still will not come on I have read a few threads that say it's the head unit has anyone got any fixes or ideas.

SWITCH THE RADIO ON, do you get anything when you press the audio button? did try the ruler and wet wipe yet? or the forced upload that I sent you

Hi, none of the buttons work the volume knob and Chanel knob work but nothing on the LCD display, I did try to clean the DVD lens but unfortunatly the sat nav still does not work it was readng disc error and now it appears the DVD drive does not work it takes tupe disc in but does not spin. The real problem is not being able to control the AIrcon- heating directional controls.

Thats the one I was trying to find, I recall reading it, I had to do the same to get rid of the "disc error" notice, also if I switch the radio on and press audio it used open the screen. After the car had warmed up a bit the nav would kick in as well.

Thanks to everyone for your replies and suggestions, unfortunatly I'm still unable to use the touch screen it's still completely blank? I'm not that bothered about the sat nav working it's more the AIrcon- heating functions that are accessed by the touch screen that I need. I don't want to fork out for a new head unit and was hoping there was some other way of sorting it.

maybe try a "force reload" as described in the other thread ?

I'm not sure if that will help, but worth a try, otherwise try disconnecting the battery for half an hour (no joke)

I,have tried everything from every link I've read but nothing works.....have not disconnected the battery yet.....any other ideas anybody.

I have they are completely dead what ever button I press in what ever order the screen still stays blank.

try disconnecting the battery for half an hour, that resets most things on these pre-facelift cars

I found this in the Honda e-manual (DVD) for "Symptom Troubleshooting - No picture is shown on the display"

"Check the No. 7 (10A) fuse and No. 32 (7.5A) fuse in the under-dash fuse relay box"

if the fuses are ok and disconnecting the battery doesn't work, then several of the troubleshooting guides point to a faulty PCB

I think the fault is the DVD player, I was driving today and out of the blue the blue loading blue line came up with the words do not turn off the engine I checked the DAvD player and the disc was not turning so it was not able to do its download, does anyone know where IMcan get a replacement one or get it reairred or take the DVD player out of the console below the LCD display. My car is an AUto model.
