2007 cdti alarm problem

Hi everyone,I'd really appreciate any help.
I'm experiencing a fault that has happened twice now, several weeks apart.
I use my remote to unlock the car,open the boot to place bags in then close it again.I then open the drivers door and the alarm activates.I am unable to silence it with either the remote or lock, it silences it self after about 30 seconds. If i then try re-entering the car the alarm activates again.

These alarms are weird several threads on here but few if any answers.

I had a similar thing happen to me a few weeks ago I had to drive home with the alarm going. I got my spare key and used it and it sorted the problem. I then changed the battery in my other key fob and it's been fine since.

Thanks for the responses. I did question whether it could be the fobs battery but it's never struggled to open the car. I tried the spare fob but this didn't work either.

^ yeah I would think that if the key fob unlocks the car, then if the alarm goes off there must be a fault with the alarm, but no idea what the fault could be. Maybe see if there are any codes on the OBD port ?
