6 speed CDTI

I'm after a 2004/5 CDTI, I thought they was all 6 speed but seen a Sport model with just 5 gears. Having looked on Autotrader/eBay etc seem to find a mixed bag. Which model/s have the 6 speed gear box?

Think you need a Facelift model for the 6 speed box. 56 onward?

Indeed, but if you look at the ratios there isn't a lot in it.

Suppose I'd need to test drive one, see if it makes much difference. Had a Bora tdi, definately needed the 6th gear in that.

I drove Fahads old Accord whilst he was playing with the ECU of my van, and the difference was noticeable, but not a deal breaker between pre and post facelift models. You need to look at the package as a whole - the gearing is right down low on the list.

6th gear is a welcome on long stints thats about it. Economy is all about how you get to your desired speeds, I've learnt the art now I have had 700miles to a tank on dirty diesel

06 > is a facelift maybe some late 05.

All facelift diesels had 6sp..
