6th Gen Alarm not deployiong

Checked the junk -yard latch continuity today which is o k between 1& 2 nothing between 3& 4 checked old latch between 1& 2 pin no bleep when latch open or closed.Fitted the junk-yard latch but No improvement.Do you know if the fly lead used for resetting the ECU under the drivers side dash also connects to door/boot-open warning circuit?

Pins 3 and 4 for the continuity check (not that it matters if you have no change with the replacement I guess)

I think the diagnostic connector is just used to flash the codes on the dash.

I should have said that I reset the SRS warning light last month by shorting the fly lead
