Fairly warm day so decided to wash the winter salt off the engine bay. Used Trix, Bilberry wheel cleaner and some snow foam by hose to clean as gently as possible. When it was dry a painted kurust on any rusty bolts, and when dry dressed with Autoglym Vinyl and rubber.

Wasnt too bad before

Very nice rich it's cleaner than mine lol

Wow! Very tidy. The 8th gen 2.0 looks very different. I mean the 7th gen 2.0 and 2.4 look the same from above, bar the different labelling. And from what I've seen the 8th gen 2.4 looks the same too, but this looks very different. Different cover, different air intake etc... Interesting.

Steve im not 100% but the 8th gen 2.0 is not a K engine anymore.Im sure its a R engine or this might just be the facelift.

You're right Brett, the R-Series. Never even knew about this till just now.

Yes seen one at HH about 2 years ago and very nice indeed

Yep its an R series engine, like in the Civic. Inlet is on the back, whereas its on the front of the 2.4.

Wonder if the larger plastic cover from the Civic would fit it. Says 'iVtec' on it, and covers the coil packs.
