So my daily drive is a 7th gen Accord saloon ictdi sport. Goes lovely in a straight line and goes lovely around bends and roundabouts too.

At similar and even lower speeds, my new weekend toy 8th gen tourer idtec feels a bit sloppy around corners, which was surprising. It has a tendency to understeer and run a little wide as reviewed here by What Car here:

My tyres are in good condition and are inflated appropriately.

Are you thinking shut the funk up Farhan and drive it like the wagon it is and lower your expectations?

It's just that this is lower and wider than my two previous 7th gen Ex Tourers and they were reasonably flat around corners.

Do you Ex GT owners feel okay with your wagon around corners? Maybe the GT spec makes all the difference.

Don't really want to go for a whole suspension/lowering/stiffening jobby as the ride in a straight line is nice and comfy.

I've gone from 7th to 8th tourer and found the same

I've gone for BC coilovers

Just because they're coilovers doesn't mean rock hard ride for track days

Mine is set up a bit firmer than std but rebound turned up and now the cornering is spot on

For me it's how it should have been in the first place

Nice and smooth on motorway, tight in the country if required

Sorry can't remember the cost now as I fitted a few bits
I think coilovers were about £650?
You'd need rear arms which are approx £150 or you won't be able to get a good neutral set up that won't wear rear tyres
Also a full set up from specialist
If you can fit yourself it'll save a few quid
They're not difficult to fit if you've done a bit of fit on your car before
Nobody as far as I'm aware still lists for tourer but only saloon, we check part numbers across tourer and saloon and bought for saloon and they fit straight on
I got my parts from Maz at hondr, he'd be able to let you know proper costs and fitment

Many thanks. I drive, I don't tinker and I don't think I'll be getting that kind of work done any time soon.

How many miles has yours done Farhan?

Front antiroll bar bushes go, you can hear the rattling at low speeds over bumps.

Lots of bushes in the rear suspension also that can wear at high miles.

What tyres have you got, are they the same make all around, good make?

What could be worth checking are rear shocks

I had mine checked by dealer when I bought the car at 50k ish, they said they were fine but when I took them off they were kippered

See if someone you trust can look them over

I think my car has had a hard life and not looked after so this might be just an unlucky purchase on my part with a rare problem but worth looking into

As rich says as well when you look under the rear it is complex so if they check all bushes at the same time
Should only be 15 minutes on a ramp at a garage

If yours were shot at 50k miles Lee, then Farhan's are going to be even worse at 133k miles I guess!

Sorry mate. Dont mean it.

Mine is on 74k and the front end is getting rattly, so I guess my anti roll bar bushes have worn.

Lol, it's cool. I'm usually in driving miss daisy mode so can't complain about the handling. Maybe in spring 2015 I can revisit this.
