I was wondering if somebody would be able to answer a couple of questions I have regarding the 2.4 type-s below please?

1.) Is CL9 referring to the 2.4 type s (like DC2, EK9 etc) or is it a reference to '7th gen', so it covers all variations 2003-2008?

2.) Some do not have a spoiler, is it easy to add this on (brake lights?)?

3.) Some seem to have a coloured front grill (not chrome), is this standard/optional or a modification?

4.) Is the Accord 7th gen the same shape all the way from 2003 to 2008, or is there a face lift at any point?

I keep seeing all kinds of mixtures and combinations for sale and it's a little confusing to make sense of, I would ***ume all type s 2.4's come with a spoiler, but it seems not?

Thanks! :D

1. Belive CL9 refers to the petrol 2.4 Accord
2. Easy enough to put a spoiler on
3.Not sure on this but not hard to colour the grill
4 Pretty much the same shape, the facelift had a different headlamp lens and it had many improvement mechanically. Most of all was a new dash dial system and the introduction of a proper mpg computer

Facelift was launched as a 2006 model. The rear lights were improved too, I really like the look of the facelift tail lights.

As type R said, CL9 refers to the 2.4, the type s is a variant of that, there was an exec too.
Spoiler was an option for all models.
As for the grille, there was a prefacelift sport model that had a different grille to the prefacelift type s.
You can view the different spec from original brochures here...

Perfect, just what I needed to know! It clears everything up , Thanks!

Does the cl9 have any traction control or electronic diff out of interest?

Thanks,
Leon

No, nothing that I'm aware of, but the exec model might have VSA, which in itself can act as a cornering ***ist, but more so to do with safety and not speed. It can be switch off at will, there's a button for it.
